Whew, the holidays and kicking off the new year for the company kicked my butt! Finally actively working on Pakyow :)
I wrote about how we’ll handle process reloading in 1.0: http://forums.pakyow.org/t/intelligent-process-reloading/115

Here’s the plan for code loading and app organization in 1.0: http://forums.pakyow.org/t/v1-0-code-loading-organization/116
I’ll define the issues soon

I just pushed some changes here: pakyow/pakyow#228 I think my preference is to just document what the make method for object needs to do and provide a good example. (I put an example there as a placeholder, but we can probably come up with something better)
Bryan Powell
@bryanp
I think that’s fine. it’s an internal object and not something most people will interact with day to day anyways
John Hager
@jphager2
true. Though I can see people being interested in using it for their own obejcts (even outside of pakyow). =p
Bryan Powell
@bryanp
hehe
yeah it’s a pretty nice way of handling this, really

wrapped up feature tests as part of the routing refactor! https://github.com/pakyow/pakyow/pull/211/commits/39cbc8b4793bf92a09e90262ba6fa12b45406801
afaik all the user-facing features are 100% tested
I’ll be moving on to adding remaining features and wrapping a few things in unit / integration tests, then we should be good to merge and shift gears into presenter. progress!

@erlandsona yes, but we tend to prefer the forums: forums.pakyow.org

I love the approach of this framework.
I am going through the warmup. When I added the subscribe method to update the increment view, it's not updating.
So I only show 2 all time views
sotrhRaven
@sotrhRaven
Relative noob. I also copied the source just to be sure I had it correct "total": 39, "active": 5.
Bryan Powell
@bryanp
@sotrhRaven Hi! You're saying that the count doesn't update when you reload, or it doesn't do it live?
sotrhRaven
@sotrhRaven
On reload, also adding new tabs with page. I am going to go through from the beginning tonight
I want to verify I didn't flub something. I watched your video from rails conf in 2016 last night. Everything seems to be focusing on functional. I like how Pakyow puts the mutable state in very clear places.

@staymetal
Hello guys
Bryan Powell
@bryanp
@sotrhRaven It definitely sounds like something isn't hooked up correctly. Either the data isn't being changed or it isn't being rendered. Hard to say without seeing it myself. And yes, definitely intended to be a more functional approach... mainly because it simplifies the entire stack. This is even more evident in v1.0, which is coming soon!
@staymetal Hello!

Hello
Is it's development active?
Can we continue development if any devoloper want to code this

I suprized when read pakyow docs
it has awesome ideas
Bryan Powell
@bryanp
Hi!
Yes, still active. V1.0 is in the works, released in a few weeks. Obviously chat hasn’t been active
The framework
has been rebuilt from the ground up over the last few months. Same core ideas, better implementation

@Eden-Eltume
Hi everybody, I just started using Pakyow today and am going through the warmup. I just encountered an error saying "/pakyow-core/lib/pakyow/core/route_eval.rb:135:in method_missing': undefined local variable or methodview' for #<Pakyow::RouteEval"
I think it's a problem with the version of Pakyow I am using because I've tried copying and pasting the code to the only files I altered to no avail.
Eden Eltume
@Eden-Eltume
I downgraded to version 0.11.2 and it worked!
Bryan Powell
@bryanp
Hi @Eden-Eltume, glad you got it sorted.
Bryan Powell
@bryanp
@/all The Pakyow v1.0 release just landed! I've been working quietly on this for the last few months. Excited to finally share it: https://pakyow.com. Note that this chat will be deprecated in 30 days in favor of the new community site (https://pakyow.com/community). If you're interested in following the project, please join us there.
