No biggie as I can just have users source ~/binder/start
is the streaming going to be recorded? I really would like to follow as much as possible but here in Europe is going to be quite late soon and I don't know if my 10th coffee could help me.
Hi @PhenoloBoy - the streams are not going to be recorded unfortunately. Challenges with some of the AV details this morning kept us from doing that.
@jhamman Thanks a lot! it's already enough what you are doing!
Hi, thank you for the streaming! great presentations! (loved netcdf & zarr ;-) -9 hours difference from france to seatle was tough for me to follow all of it , the slides would be available online?
@jhamman, as there are some Europeans that would like to take less coffee to follow the conference, would be possible to allow us to record the event? I'm willing to do that if you need but would be more secure if you could do from the source.
Just one talk, some lightning talks, then breakouts (that won’t be streamed).
hey folks (in particular @jhamman@rabernat@mrocklin) I wanted to share a draft of a post that'll go up on the Jupyter blog soon. It's from Jim Colliander, who is the director of the Pacific Institute of Mathematical Sciences and has been running the Syzygy project for national-scale JupyterHub deployments. He's got a blog post queued up about their experiences running hubs for all of Canada, and some ideas for how to grow and sustain a model such as this. Just thought y'all might be interested and maybe it sparks some conversation here at the meeting https://medium.com/@colliand/92c0d3ae5b85
@jhamman, sorry I didn't see this earlier. I'm available tomorrow if you're still interested. I'm more likely to see responses via github than gitter, so it'd be best to comment here: pangeo-data/pangeo-cloud-federation#371
yes, tomorrow AM would be great.
I’ll provide an update on the gh issue.
hey @jhamman@scottyhq any advice on my question.. it seems when using an existing docker and building on that binder/start does not get hit
