HA should not send any commands to alarm panel without an intended action. Try to monitor MQTT Explorer while restarting HA.

Hi, if I buy new EVO HD with fw 7.52.001, will PAI work when I pay Paradox $14 for unlocking serial communication via Insite Gold? I understand that FW with encrypted serial is incompatible, but unlocking it should work, right? Did anyone test that?

We do not have an answer to your question. We have not seen a panel with fw 7.50+ yet.

Thanks, it seems that I may be the first to test it. Haha. However, I believe it should work.

Thingers crossed 🤞
Are you using IP150 with it?
Martin Hladil
@martinhladil
So far I have only, SP6000. Looking for an upgrade. But yes, I have IP150+ to play with as well.

I have an odd question. If HA is restarted or I lose power my alarm will go off. Is there any setting in Babyware I can do to prevent this?

Your alarm panel loses power? Do you have a backup battery attached for it?

It does, but the network would go down. If PAI is disconnected alarm goes. Same behaviour is when I connect with Babyware and disconnect. Alarm goes off and I have to manually disable it.

Wonder if there is a setting I can make in Babyware to not set off the alarm when connection is closed.

@yozik04 Also, I didn't know that you could easily downgrade IP150+ from 5.03 to 5.02. I bought it with 5.03 and wanted web interface. It's easily downgradable to any 5.x firmware.
gustjoha
@gustjoha
@martinhladil How would you downgrade it?
Martin Hladil
@martinhladil
@gustjoha Via infield. Select firmware file will not allow you to upload file manually, but there is actually a select box where you can select any FW from 5.x branch you want and it downloads and flashes that firmware just fine.
gustjoha
@gustjoha
oh
interesting
I will try it
Martin Hladil
@martinhladil
I was really suprised, because I was reading everywhere that it isn't downgradable.
And yes, there is a new 5.5 version. Hopefully fixing all terrible security issues.

oph
oh
it worked
have web ui now

@martinhladil
@gustjoha Great!
gustjoha
@gustjoha
Now only problem that main password wont give me possibility to change things
Did not receive master code when we bought the house :/
Martin Hladil
@martinhladil
And you don’t have installer code either?
gustjoha
@gustjoha
No.
I think ill try 123456
wouldnt surprise me if thats the one
And the company that made the install 10 years ago is not around
Martin Hladil
@martinhladil
I bought my house with a default installer code. Didn’t know any codes. I was lucky. But still, I’m probably going to replace panel anyway.
gustjoha
@gustjoha
Ive got the sp6000 as well
and an old nokia attached to a communication module, lol.
Martin Hladil
@martinhladil
:) yes, that was pretty common
gustjoha
@gustjoha
ok
that was interesting
I found users in Babyware
including System Maintenance
System master**
and when I log in with that in IP150 I get access to the settings, lol.
Martin Hladil
@martinhladil
Great, so it wasn’t locked. You can do anything you want now.
gustjoha
@gustjoha
Yeah, ill start by disabling SWAN
gustjoha
@gustjoha
Now I only need to figure out why the alarm goes every time I disconnect.
Tamper alarm
Area 1:Area 1
could be anything from my understanding? Zone is marked as Detected all the time
gustjoha
@gustjoha
Disabling the zone for now at least solves my issues with the alarm going off after rebooting PAI.
Sorry for cluttering the chat with slightly off topic messages (as it´s more related to the alarm itself than PAI). @yozik04

:smile: no problem for me

@martinhladil
@yozik04 My EVO HD 7.52.001 is no the way. No promises to test it soon. But I will test it for sure via serial and via IP150+. I will report back.

Is there a way to show timestamp from the panel with push notifications? Example, I had a power cut for 2 hours and everything powered off incl the Pi. I disarmed the alarm using the remote during this time. When the power came back, I got a push notification that the alarm was Disarmed but at the current time of course when the power (i.e. Pi) came back up, not showing the time stamp it was Disarmed with remote.

@aae55555
Is there a timestamp of last arm/disarm etc stored in MQTT?

@georgelza
is there a topic that exposes if the panic was pressed or not.
