@ralphwillgoss we just wanted to reinforce that it’s not type safe. It is a totally valid approach, just not the one we prefer. You are free to use it if you want, of course.
@stevenwilber great feedback! thank you for sharing that.

@skotzko - ok thanks, since the end of the lesson enforces it again, I just wondered why so much enforcement :-)

Yeah. It’s just an easy mistake to make that can really come back to bite you in the ass later ;)

we wanted to validate the format of the bootcamp with unit 1 first
make sure people got it
overwhelmingly, it sounds like everyone did
from there we're starting work on unit 2 and 3

whats the best way to cherry pick commits to github for a pull request?
Aaron Stannard
@Aaronontheweb
Feb 23 2015 22:57
you can use the git cherry pick command to do that
or an interactive rebase

can I do it via github or do I need to go to the commandline?

the Akka.NET contribution guidelines have a good explanation of how to do that, let me see if I can find it
commandline, sadly :\

ah k
I use this when I need to clean stuff up before I submit it
make sure you do your rebase / cherry picking on a new branch
because if you screw up a rebase you can potentially lose stuff
