@stevemesser as long as you don't commit that to github that's ok :)

hi guys.. just trying the bootcamp, but on Mono I’m not able to compile because no reference found for ActorRef. I substitued with IActorRef but I was wondering if this is correct or I am missing something...

ActorRef was before 1.0, after 1.0 all of them have I prefix

@DamianReeves what could we do to make that clearer in the instructions? There might be a bunch of other folks who've run into that issue too

@stevemesser your github api key will be publically visible. People will take advantage of that. Github is perma crawled by bots looking for api keys for all sorts of things.
If your followed the instructions properly, then in this case it will be a read-only key. So the impact is minimal. But still, its a good thing to be aware off ;)

@Danthar Yeah, Sorry I was just poking fun at some of the bootcamp humor.

It happens frequently that someone uploads their AWS api key by accident. And they get a huge bill due to autoprovisioned bitcoin miners ;)

There is another which says something about free ice cream and coffee and pillowy rainbows, but I don't recall where that one is.

"if you do X this way the Rebels fail to blow up the Death Star, the Empire wins, and they take all of the Ewoks as taxidermy trophies"
there's a lot of stuff that Akka.NET does that "feels weird" to .NET developers
at first, anyway
so in those areas we usually put heavy emphasis on just buying into "this" as a way of doing things
like the fact that you don't ever new up any of your own actors

It's different (but fine), I was looking at an AKKA book on safarionline (don't recall which) and the humor was similar.
