Question on Lesson 1.4. In TailCoordinatorActor we defined a StopTail message class. It does not appear to be used by the end of lesson 1.4, although I could maybe imagine an enhancement to the FileObserver that would somehow notify the TailActor that the file had been closed or otherwise abandoned. Is the StopTail used in a subsequent lesson? If there's not a use for it future lessons of the bootcamp, would it be ok to remove it from the example code?

I'm looking for an example that explains Akka.Persistence.Journel. I could not see any except some on AKKA site that uses Java. Please suggest if there is any.

hello. When receiving a message through a router. The sender is the routerActor or actor using the router ?
to send the message

The actor using the router. The routees are unaware of the router.

@varghesep if you link the question. Others might be able to help you out as well.

Hi, I have a question regarding the lession 1.6. In the example code for the hooks for the event "poststop" you call the base.PostStop() in the end but in "Prestart" you don't. Any special reason for this?

I'm working on Lesson 3.2 and got an "...abuse detection mechanism..." via Octokit.ForbiddenException. I'm new to GitHub so not sure if its because of that or that I ran the program a lot playing with Lesson 3.1 (I get the same error in the Lesson 2\Completed). I am able to workaround the issue by finding a tiny repo, but will that affect future lessons? I think I read that the API limits to 20 request per minute?

@Merryweather I'm not familiar with the example, but it's probably because in the default scenario PreRestart method of the ActorBase calls PostStop internally

@ondrelogin did you get an API token from them? you might need to issue yourself a custom one just for this app. The limit should be 5000 per hour.

@Aaronontheweb I created a new Token (deleted the old one), tried again. I used it on your mvc-utilities as the repo and it quits at 30 of 43 users and 25 seconds. Lots of AggregateExceptions and ForbiddenExceptions. I ran it a bunch on the akka-bootcamp repo yesterday, so is it possible that my account got flagged? I can get it to work on smaller repo but not anything of any size.

that might be the case
you should create an issue on the Octokit repo and ask what's up - I've not seen that before
sounds like a pain in the butt - sorry that happened >_<

it's hard using other people's APIs in demos :p

Did some research, according to GitHub staff member @pengwynn from this octokit issue GitHub issued a rate limiter. Based on the link the user @sbohlen seemed to do some trial and error to say that the GitHub (not octokit) limits API access (unless Enterprise) from burst activity. This maybe an issue with any future people doing Lesson 3.2. Here is the GitHub Link. May need some refactoring/restructuring to the Lesson 3 curriculum.

@varghesep I think your questions have moved beyond the scope of bootcamp. Suggest you move discussion to the main Akka.Net chatroom
(and good job really diving into the framework, @varghesep !)
