I was looking at the PipeTo example. I see that many actors are spawned based on the urls. Does the actorsystem destroys like the Garbage Collector when the parsing is done and the feedcordinator actor and it's children are idle or not processing?

@varghesep no, actors are recycled only when their parents are recycled or when they are explicitly stopped. You can specify Context.SetReceiveTimeout(timeout) inside an actor to specifiy special message (ReceiveTimeout) that will be sent to it, if no message was received for specified amount of time. Then you may define stopping current actor as a response behavior on that message.

Lesson 2.1: Using HOCON Configuration to Configure Akka.NET when I create child actors (several same actros) without name, how can I define settings for the actrors via configuration file. As I understand, config requires path to actor.

if I'm correct HOCON supports wildcards like actor/path/* (but I wouldn't hope that partial matching is supported i.e. act*r/path)

So, If a actor creates several other actors (different actors), it's not possible to send message (or set config) to all actors of same type?

communicating with actors is done via its address, not its type. So if you want to send a message to all actors under actor/path/* that is what the wildcard is for.
but yes, the framework does not provide you with an, out of the box, way to send a message to all actors of a certain type.
But you can provide for that yourself in various ways.

ok. it will work for message sending. what about configuration?
probably, can be implemented "prefix" name of the actors. in the case, config can be defined by wildcards.
