@MoOx
my pleasure

How should clientScripts work? I am adding "clientScripts": false to the phenomic entry in package.json, but I don’t see any difference.
MoOx
@MoOx
which version of phenomic? This option is gone in v1 as it's unecessary (the way to go instead is to make your own Html.js file and just omit the <Script /> https://github.com/phenomic/phenomic/blob/cdddbdc36624a1e3a716c9a568b87c2a0ca75613/examples/react-app-blog/Html.js#L28
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
ah, will try that
that also disables my blog post overview and js for screen interactivity (such as info dialogs)
MoOx
@MoOx
clientScripts was to disable all script and use phenomic as an html generator
<Script> is the same as this option was
What are you looking to do exactly @ArthurClemens ?
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
My blog overview (html source) does not contain links to individual blog posts. It would be nice to have these rendered as static html. But other js interactivity should still exist (like any other static html page with sprinkled js).
Removing <Script> is too radical
and it doesn’t solve the problem of my blog post overview
MoOx
@MoOx
well react needs js, you cannot really "split" the usage of react.
What you can do is to use an external script tag
(eg: put a script into /public and consume it old-school)

I’ve upgraded to beta.8 and I see some things have changed. My blog overview doesn’t work anymore, giving errors in the console GET http://localhost/socket.io/?EIO=3&transport=polling&t=MXOIc2f net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. What could be the reason? No errors in the terminal using DEBUG...
MoOx
@MoOx
From which version?
I didn’t changed anything not exposed in release notes
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
Perhaps it is a webpack issue
MoOx
@MoOx
Can you share a repro?
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
It is a private repo
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
I am trying to start anew from a clean repo, then add more dependencies and see where this gets me.
Somehow replacing ExtractTextPlugin with MiniCssExtractPlugin does not work.
MoOx
@MoOx
What is the issue exactly?
Provide more details if you want accurate help :)
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
The odd thing is that I don’t see any errors, just a screen with a phenomic-DevLoader
MoOx
@MoOx
Did you call createApp ?
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
I will create a test repo
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
This doesn’t work with the current webpack config: https://github.com/ArthurClemens/test-phenomic/blob/master/webpack.config.js#L51
I use this config with MiniCssExtractPlugin in other projects
MoOx
@MoOx
Can you open issue with this so I can remember to take a look later today? Thanks!
(The default config)
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
ah, so it should work...
MoOx
@MoOx
Glad it works!
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
I’m still struggling with a few things
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
Still the blog post overview.
Dev mode shows polling-xhr.js:261 GET http://localhost/socket.io/?EIO=3&transport=polling&t=MXS991c net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED
Build & serve shows
@phenomic: Build failed 51.108s@phenomic: Cannot read property 'data' of undefined
✖ @phenomic: TypeError: Cannot read property 'data' of undefined

@ArthurClemens
Perhaps something has changed in the way blog posts are collected
MoOx
@MoOx
Not sure
Which version you upgraded from?
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
1.0.0-beta.0
MoOx
@MoOx
Did you checked all release notes ?
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
roughly
MoOx
@MoOx
Recently I switched webpack version
For collection I think something changed for queries on the client
But I don’t see anything that should show you an error about the socket
Maybe try to check releases notes more carefully :s
Arthur Clemens
@ArthurClemens
that helps :-)
