@MoOx
no need to tweak it
@Lidiayucon can you move the const Blog... definition before the export?
Have the export at the end
Lidiayucon
@Lidiayucon
how is the order of the syntax suppose to look like? I moved it and the "go to home" link shows
but the rest of the content is not
there is an error this time though
withPhenomicApi.js:110 An item is in error state path=content%2Fposts&id=first-post
Lidiayucon
@Lidiayucon
Is it okay if I make a suggestion?
For people just getting started with react and not having much experience in working with different framworks and libraries, it would be helpful to have a highlight of the syntax that is changing as well as an img of what the whole file should look like at the end of each section.
MoOx
@MoOx
I will keep that in mind next time I edit the doc
Thanks for the feedback
Lidiayucon
@Lidiayucon
I would love to help put that together when I'm done with this tutorial if you like

Sûre
Is this working for you now?
Lidiayucon
@Lidiayucon
not really, the "go to home" link is, but the rest of the content isn't. I am getting an error this time
withPhenomicApi.js:110 An item is in error state path=content%2Fposts&id=first-post
thats the error in the console now
i'm looking into it atm ... I might have to come back for help if I can't fix it
Thank you btw
MoOx
@MoOx
I have to go too... feel free to open an issue so I can precisely track down the issue
Lidiayucon
@Lidiayucon
will do ... thx again and have a good day

@ArthurClemens
^ path=content%2Fposts that’s what I meant
Lidiayucon
@Lidiayucon
yeah, I noticed that but unfortunately that didn't work either. The only thing rendering now is the footer
in BlogPost

Hi! We are using phenomic beta 10 with lots of of components styled with styled-components. I’ve attempted to find why we have such a major FOUC problem, but to no avail. I tried the styled-components example from the GitHub repo and noticed that it has a FOUC as well. Is this an issue which can be solved? I tried to (1) update styled-components, (2) adding babel-plugin-styled-components to the example project and (3) mimicking solutions from other SSR frameworks github issues.
MoOx
@MoOx
@Jokinen we probably need to add styled-components to externals
& run build + jest --bail examples/react-app-styles-with-styled-components
Jaakko Jokinen
@Jokinen
Okay, thanks. I’ll take a look some time this week

@Jokinen
I tried these out and the fouc in the example project semed to go away. I opened a PR for clarity’s sake.

hello! i'm having trouble during installation of preset-react-app on nix/MacOS. i just created an issue at phenomic/phenomic#1277 -- any help on this? any idea? -- what are the dependencies of preset-react-app?

Hello 👋 I have an ooooold Phenomic app (^0.20.3). I don't really want to migrate it to a newer version right now but I'm trying to build (node version 6.9.2) and the build is failing. It appears to be an issue with UglifyJS and punycode:

Error: phenomic.browser.c95a28deeafd53ec1f00.js from UglifyJs
SyntaxError: Unexpected token: name (length) [./~/punycode/punycode.js:55,0]
    at /Users/tom/Code/project/node_modules/webpack/lib/optimize/UglifyJsPlugin.js:128:32
    at Array.forEach (native)

which seems to point to this line in punycode.js

I think it's an issue with my dependencies or possibly babel config? I haven't touched this app in like 2 years so not sure why it suddenly started breaking. Here's my package.json babel config and node dependencies: https://gist.github.com/tconroy/d8e41708c1c90f93ca6d2c4143329ef0

MoOx
@MoOx
it's more probably the line above
you might have an uglifyjs version that doesn't know modern js, so it's stucky on "const"
Tom
@tconroy
that sounds likely!
MoOx
@MoOx
you should add this package to the babel loader conf
so it's babelified & const=>var
and uglify happy
also, this should tell you to start using lock files if you are not already
that would avoid you this kind of problem when you go back on old projects :)
