    I was referring to the second parameter of $aspell->check(), but I got your point, I'll try to reproduce
    @AngelidisChris Could you give an example of a misspelled greek word and the expected correct word
    AngelidisChris
    @AngelidisChris
    sure, ελληνικα => ελληνικά
    AngelidisChris
    @AngelidisChris
    another one, κωδικοσ => κωδικός
    Philippe SEGATORI
    @tigitz
    What php-spellchecker version are you using ?
    AngelidisChris
    @AngelidisChris
    0.2.0
    Philippe SEGATORI
    @tigitz
    I published v0.2.2 some time ago to handle UTF8 characters
    if you do composer info -i | grep php-spellcheker it returns 0.2.0 ?
    Using 0.2.2 it seems I get the proper results:

    Philipe thank you for your response once again, I did the update but still, I cannot get the appropriate result. In my local machine (Windows) works like a charm.

    Weird, if you type echo 'ελληνικα' | hunspell -i utf-8 -a -d el_GR what does it return ?
    I get
    @(#) International Ispell Version 3.2.06 (but really Hunspell 1.7.0)
    & ελληνικα 4 0: ελληνικά, ελληνικό, ελληνικέ, ελληνική
    AngelidisChris
    @AngelidisChris
    On my production system I use hunspell 1.3 maybe thats the problem her?
    Philippe SEGATORI
    @tigitz
    Could be ? Try typing echo 'ελληνικα' | hunspell -i utf-8 -a -d el_GR on the command line on your production system and give me the output
    AngelidisChris
    @AngelidisChris
    @(#) International Ispell Version 3.2.06 (but really Hunspell 1.3.3)
    & ελληνικα 4 0: ελληνικά, ελληνικό, ελληνικέ, ελληνική
    It works fine here
    but inside my PHP app
    no*
    not*

    Are you using Symfony or Laravel by any chance ?
    AngelidisChris
    @AngelidisChris
    I am using Symfony
    Again in Windows env works fine
    Philippe SEGATORI
    @tigitz
    If so could you create a command to test the php-spellchecking code please ?
    I'm afraid there might be a chance that using the code in a web context could be problematic
    depending on some php configuration
    AngelidisChris
    @AngelidisChris
    Do you mean to create a standalone PHP script and run it on the server?
    btw english spellchecking works fine
    Philippe SEGATORI
    @tigitz

    btw english spellchecking works fine

    Ha yeah.. you're right so it's not about the web context

    can you give me the output of composer info -i | grep php-spellcheker again please
    AngelidisChris
    @AngelidisChris
    You are using the deprecated option "installed". Only installed packages are shown by default now. The --all option can be used to show all packages.
    I get this message
    I checked composer and I am using the latest one
    0.2.2
    I updated to the latest as you adviced
    Philippe SEGATORI
    @tigitz
    Ok :/ well I'm out of ideas now
    AngelidisChris
    @AngelidisChris
    Thank you for your help and time Philippe
    I ll figure it out
    Philippe SEGATORI
    @tigitz
    image.png
    @AngelidisChris Could you give me what's inside those two values ?
    First one is the exact command line that'll be executed, second one is the output
    AngelidisChris
    @AngelidisChris
    ^ array:6 [
    0 => "hunspell"
    1 => "-i"
    2 => "UTF-8"
    3 => "-a"
    4 => "-d"
    5 => "el_GR"
    ]
    @(#) International Ispell Version 3.2.06 (but really Hunspell 1.3.3)
    & ελληνικα 4 0: ελληνικά, ελληνικό, ελληνικέ, ελληνική
    sSeems fine here
    Philippe SEGATORI
    @tigitz
    Alright that's a good sign then, I'll let you work throughout the rest of the code to understand where's the bug
    AngelidisChris
    @AngelidisChris
    Phillipe, it works now. Maybe because I didn't clear the cache after I updated the package. Again, thank you very much for help.
    Philippe SEGATORI
    @tigitz
    Awesome :) don't hesitate to star the project if it has been helpful to you ;)
    AngelidisChris
    @AngelidisChris
    Absolutely, will do.
