yes, you can also join servers which are in your local network. For that, you only need the local IP address of the mentioned computer (starts with 192.168. ) and you can convert it to an aos link with this converter: https://noway.github.io/aos-to-address/
If someone else should be able to join your server, he needs your public IP address. You can find it for example here: http://www.whatsmyip.org , else, PySnip should also show it to you as aos:// link.
You are not the first one who asks this:D the fog can not be removed, it is part of the game. The reason for that is that the classic client from around 10 years ago was using it and we are maintaining a compatibility for that client.
