they only use it for cache
and you're doing that anyway :)
so its "undocummented feature"

Is there any easy way I can implement gesture recognition (pinch, swipe, panning, rotating) on Pixi objects, without writing it myself?
I noticed that Android has a latency issue with touch (even Android 6.0 on Nexus 5 for example, not the newest but pretty modern). Did you notice that as well?
For example if I want to move an object under the user's finger.

OK
What about the touch latency on Android
did you notice any of that?

Is there any limit in webgl for how many textures I can have? I have a bunch of tiles, each their own texture

no but i suggest you to user texturePacker or at least shoebox
and that optimizations i said about in the forum, they will work only if you have a small number of textures

Tiles are generated dynamically at runtime, so I can't pack them ahead of time :)

you can pack them anyway, they have the same size :)

also its good area for making your own shaders , if you want experience :)

oal: How they are generated? I mean what are those?
Just interested :)

Yes there is
it is limited to the GPU memory space that the webgl context is alotted
if you have more textures being rendered than you have GPU memory than texture swapping becomes necessary
which means in the middle of drawing your CPU will copy textures to your GPU which is an expensive process

@englercj there's no way of getting BaseTexture before texture loads in your resourceloader
fromImage works better in that case, and I dont like it
I need fromImage to work with options and stuff, so im trying to re-order everything through a loader
and that's very difficult
