yeah
then it will work
just specify container there
renderer.plugins.extract.pixels(container);
you can also try to make it with shader solution
Guys, I added 3d stuff into my pixi fork

Been dying to do y-axis flips. Right now I've been hacking it out with scaling the x-axis of the sprite... cringe

I just pushed breaking change there, so if you started coding something, please take the latest https://github.com/gameofbombs/pixi-bin/releases

I'm trying to install pixijs, i go to the page "learningPixie" of github and it tells me "Before you start writing any code, create a folder for your project, and launch a webserver in the project's root directory. If you aren't running a webserver, Pixi won't work."
What is a webserver and what do I have to do to laucnh a webserveer in the root directory concerned?

do you have node.js or something like that installed?
Capu
@Capu-Johann
May 31 2016 18:13
yea

@ivanpopelyshev
May 31 2016 18:13
if you have node
you can do "npm install -g http-server" in the console
then, any time if you open the console in your project directory, you can just type "http-server -c-1" and it will launch a server on "localhost:8080"

(I need to go to the directory concerned with "cd root directory" right?)

yes :)
do you know how to open cmd from windows explorer?
File->Open command line
Capu
@Capu-Johann
May 31 2016 18:14
I'm using the one from node
node.js cmd
Ivan Popelyshev
@ivanpopelyshev
May 31 2016 18:15
its ok
so
"npm install -g http-server" will install http-server globally, and it means you'll be able to start new server with simple "http-server" command
i use "-c-1" because i dont want ANYTHING to be cached
you know that cache can be pain while you develop webapp , right?
Capu
@Capu-Johann
May 31 2016 18:18
I didn't coded that much to know that cache is a pain :p
I've done the 2 commands, thanks for the help! I'll try to go ahead on the tutorial

I put the pixi.min.js in the directory where the web server is launched, and used the html page they advised, and there is no 'Object { VERSION: "3.0.7"' in the console after going on the html page in my web browser

Capu
@Capu-Johann
May 31 2016 19:46
yep
thank you ver much!
But what is bad about pixi.min.js?
Ivan Popelyshev
@ivanpopelyshev
May 31 2016 19:46
also tutorial is good but for real stuff you have to use latest pixi and not something like 3.0.7 ;)
and better pixi.js , otherwise how will you DEBUG it with browser?
Capu
@Capu-Johann
May 31 2016 19:49
I will not use real stuff right now, just a simple thing!
and for pixi.js, I don't really understand
So for the tutoriel, does that mean I just need to replace pixi.min.js by pixi.js?
or do i have to use it for real things, after the tutorial?
Ivan Popelyshev
@ivanpopelyshev
May 31 2016 19:52
better to try after
follow tutorial to the point :)
