that's kinda normal way
in pixi we monitor everything: gitter, issues, forum, slack
i dont know about p2js

i have my own modified pixi-v4 for such purposes
though, no physics yet
only 3d stuff

so yeah, in some cases its really better to use Phaser
and some cases just call for RPGMaker MV which is pixi-v4 compatible
