@englercj thanks, that clears things up, but it does raise questions regarding how to determine exactly where, for example, the mouse was actually clicked on a click event since it's possible the mouse could have moved since the event was fired but before it was processed.

@darkfrog26 Well I don't think texture "update" has anything to do with mouse position, it's not a dom related event, but pixis own event. But I guess you are referring to some other event with PIXIs interactions. If you use PIXIs own interaction, then there is the originalEvent available in the event
You can check e.g. here: https://pixijs.github.io/examples/#/demos/dragging.js
The "function onDragStart(event)", has event.data.originalEvent, that one has the data where the click happened if you need those exact coordinates

@Hachitus my original question was more generic in regard to event documentation in PIXI, but I used Texture.update as an example.
