Is there a simple way to programmatically generate the tab configuration for rubric elements?
E.g., like
comment 1.1 goes in tab 1
comment 1.2 goes in tab 1
comment 2.1 goes in tab 2
comment 2.2 goes in tab 2

but clicking the "x" button on "normal" non-fancy-Arch-using window managers should work
seriously, that could be a bug, when you're less stressed, write us an issue about exactly how you quit Plom normally
I think it might be a decent idea to try and save pane configurations prior to the first exit, since I've had some experiences where I'm halfway through entering all my rubric elements and then plom crashes, and...

we don't want to wait for blocking API calls (like sync rubrics) so we just don't do them :)
The code to download/upload other data is already too complicated, needs overhaul. Once that is fixed, we can easily sync rubrics everytime you change them or via polling or whatever
