    Hello there. I plan to tackle this issue: plone/Products.CMFPlone#1113 and will need to backport it on other branches master, 5.1.x and 5.2.x
    Should I have one PR per branch or is there any other procedure?
    NicolasGoeddel
    @NicolasGoeddel
    Some solr specialists here? I create this issue but it's more like a question. Maybe some of you can help with that: collective/collective.solr#240
    Érico Andrei
    @ericof
    I already read https://docs.plone.org/develop/coredev/docs/intro.html#committing-to-products-cmfplone and I'm more concerned about the PR part of the process :-)

    @MrTango
    @ericof is this still valid? there is not option to deselect example content anymore, is it?
    @NicolasGoeddel source you can use if you want to point to an imported vocabulary, vocabulary you use to look the vocabulary up by name, which is usually what most people use.

    @ericof
    @MrTango Yes, there is. When you click on advanced (on the add new plone site page)

    @ericof I think you make the change in master then cherry pick it into the other branches, no?
    Érico Andrei
    @ericof
    Should I make one PR and after it is approved and merge, do the cherry pick and push to the other branches? (original question is more about how to deal with PR's)

    Can I use Products.BeakerSessionDataManager with Plone 5.2 and Python 3.6?
    Our zeo client crashes when doing some things with sessions. There are so many Issues out there because of that issue and I can not find a solution to this. Now I want to try out collective.beaker, but the last code change was 2011, so I don't think it will be compatible with Plone 5.2 and Python 3.6.

    [A CIRC user (zonger), irc.freenode.net] Hi everyone. Where do I submit an issue on the plone.org website?
    [A CIRC user (zonger), irc.freenode.net] Should it be to the forum at community.plone.org ?
    T. Kim Nguyen
    @tkimnguyen
    hi zonger … in the footer you can see a link to report issues with the site
    thx!
    but forum is ok too as a start

    [A CIRC user (zonger), irc.freenode.net] okay, thx! It seems to be an issue with add-on integration in v5.2 so searching for the correct repo issue tracker now.

    @tkimnguyen
    zonger: what’s the problem?

    [A CIRC user (zonger_), irc.freenode.net] Basically trying to install WebServerAuth on 5.2 and it is not showing up in the ZMI. I have more details, but that is the skinny of it.

    @kokbira
    hiho
    plone vs joomla? why?
    Dylan Jay
    @djay
    @NicolasGoeddel you can use a shared zeo database for sessions.
    T. Kim Nguyen
    @tkimnguyen
    zonger_: Maurits mentioned what seemed to be an equivalent add-on that works with 5.2 in a talk he gave last week... see https://maurits.vanrees.org/weblog/archive/2019/10/maurits-van-rees-3-authentication-add-ons otherwise I’m sure we can figure out what’s going on
    zonger_: but best if you ask in the forum https://community.plone.org

    Hopefully an easy question: How to define a BrowserView with a form which can be called by an anonymous user and which is able to create new content objects, delete or modify them.

    @petschki
    @NicolasGoeddel I know, this is source only, but there's a easyform plugin which should do the trick: https://github.com/collective/collective.easyformplugin.createdx
    at least the creation part ...
    NicolasGoeddel
    @NicolasGoeddel
    @petschki Sorry, I already figured it out. I use the permission zope.Public in configure.zcml and a modified execute_under_special_role script which runs some functions with the manager role.

    Hello all, who is the Jenkins wizard that can help me with a failing test? :-)
    This is the test https://jenkins.plone.org/job/pull-request-5.2-3.6/637/ and it seems totally unrelated to changes I made

    @petschki
    Hi, is something wrong with jenkins at the moment? I get this when submitting a PR: https://jenkins.plone.org/job/pull-request-5.2-3.6/641/console
    Jens W. Klein
    @jensens
    @petschki "mr.developer: The package 'plone.app.standardtiles' from auto-checkout has no source information." looks like its not in the sources section
    @petschki so, it is not there, because it is not in core, only in the ecosystem pinnings.
    Peter Mathis
    @petschki
    @jensens ah ... so I should use the add-on pipeline instead of pull-request ...

    [shastry (shastry_), irc.freenode.net] Hi. I need some help with unicode in pt files. How can I output something like: var t='ø';
    Maik Derstappen
    @MrTango
    shastry: how did you try to do it? maybe try with structure like: <span tal:content="structure whateveryoutstringis"></span> this way no html encoding happens
    Plone Chat
    @plone-chat
    [shastry (shastry), irc.freenode.net] MrTango: structure didn't work. I ended up returning escaped text from the function. Like '\\u00F8'. That way, I got var t='\u00F8';
    Maik Derstappen
    @MrTango
    how did you define the string?
    Plone Chat
    @plone-chat
    [shastry (shastry), irc.freenode.net] MrTango: Initially, I had `return u'ø'` in a utf8 encoded .py file (it's a rapido file), then I just did return '\\u00F8'.
    Maik Derstappen
    @MrTango
    shasty u'ø' should work without structure, i guess
    Plone Chat
    @plone-chat
    [realname (MrTango), irc.freenode.net] shastry: ^^
    Plone Chat
    @plone-chat
    [shastry (shastry), irc.freenode.net] MrTango: Strangely it didn't. It became "&#195;&#184;" (don't know what that is) in html. And, a literal ø in the .pt file became &#248;
    [Bill Schindler (bitranch), irc.freenode.net] shastry: that "&#195;&#184;" is the utf-8 encoding
