    @tisto
    we will have lots of online sprints in the future and we are looking for a tool that supports us in that
    chrome is fine

    @jensens I'm currently updating plone.app.z3cform templates to BS4 and as a fun part I'm running my buildout.coredev on z3c.form 4.x ... shall I create a branch on coredev (z3c.form-4) and run the tests? so I could also work on updating to latest z3c.form ...

    @sneridagh
    I like the ideas that @djay throwed here https://meet.jit.si/plone-6-volto
    not here
    and if discord is so good dealing with all the remote sprint challenges has, then why not...
    Jens W. Klein
    @jensens
    @petschki in general it using latest z3c.form is what we want anyway

    Standup is at 17:00 CEST?
    Timo Stollenwerk
    @tisto
    yeah

    @sneridagh can you post the ideas somewhere more permanent. I gues you had that in the jitsi chat, but thats not persistent.

    @MrTango
    @pbauer is there a spicific way of getting a registry entry as string not bytes? you mentioned something like the accessor should handle this. Right now the access is imnplmented like this in the controlpanel:
    self.theme_settings = registry.forInterface(IThemeSettings, False) and later used in the view template like this: view/theme_settings/hostnameBlacklist
    Víctor Fernández de Alba
    @sneridagh
    @MrTango why you just don’t use p.restapi?
    true that we “still” have not sorted out the ability to access specific registry public settings (by default all is private)
    (just suggestion)
    Jens W. Klein
    @jensens
    I will create a buildout.coredev branch "zope-5" and start local testing first/
    Maik Derstappen
    @MrTango
    it might be useful to use more of the rest api also in the classic backend, but for now all registry settings are taken directly. I just want to fix the theming control panel which is broken right now in Py3
    Víctor Fernández de Alba
    @sneridagh
    oh ok
    I thought you need that for the build, etc
    Jens W. Klein
    @jensens
    @petschki I would not update 5.2 - this should go into 6 only.
    Peter Mathis
    @petschki
    ok!
    Timo Stollenwerk
    @tisto
    @ale-rt @jensens do you want to join @datakurre @sneridagh and me for a plone image scaling talk at 3pm today?
    Alexander Loechel
    @loechel
    @tisto may I also join?
    Timo Stollenwerk
    @tisto
    sure!
    FYI: we use discord for volto and the image scaling stuff. we would like to give this a shot after Dylan's suggestion on community.plone.org: https://discord.gg/jrpnMgt

    @tisto
    @ale-rt hey, wanna join our image scaling call now?

    sorry, missed it, I've been in our community garden...

    @datakurre

    For anyone interested, my image scaling branches are https://github.com/plone/plone.namedfile/tree/datakurre-image-scaling-queue and https://github.com/plone/plone.formwidget.namedfile/tree/datakurre-image-scaling-queue

    Right now the feature is on by default. Just using those branches is enough. That may change during today once I try to polish and test it and write a PLIP.

    @fredvd
    @datakurre When you digged through the image scalling code the past days, did you perhaps notice that/why the 2x/3x hidpi scaling is currently broken in Plone 5.2.1? (srcsets are never created). I want to debug it this afternoon. (plone/Products.CMFPlone#3085)
    Asko Soukka
    @datakurre
    @fredvd No, I did not even think about that surprising. I'll see.
    Asko Soukka
    @datakurre
    And I still haven't tested.
    Asko Soukka
    @datakurre
    @fredvd I'm now looking into hidpi scaling. Looks broken.
    Fred van Dijk
    @fredvd
    @datakurre Ok, thanks.
    Asko Soukka
    @datakurre
    @fredvd Suddenly it works :eyes:
    Asko Soukka
    @datakurre
    But trying it helped to find holes in my scale processor.

    @datakurre
    Fred van Dijk
    @fredvd
    @datakurre I'm testing the hidpi again, also in coredev. I'm now testing with the same image in different formats: A png version didn't get srcset's, a jpg version did, when I included both images in in the same documents textfield. Their individiual image_view templates both get srcsets....
    It seems to fail somewhat deterministic, but not sure of the rules yet. :-(
    (had my coredev instance from last friday still available, using that one).
    Asko Soukka
    @datakurre
    @fredvd I admit that I only tried with JPG.

    lets see if Plone 6 rocks on Zope 5.0a2 plone/buildout.coredev#655
    at least it starts up and shines :D
