Hi. My blockscout frontend has stopped showing the latest transactions...It is showing 4days old transactions....though I can see the index is caught up in logs... I can see my latest block numbers in the logs. What needs to be done?
Sameroom
@sameroom-bot
[Victor Baranov, POA Network] Hi, maybe, you have no transactions in the latest blocks?
ruchita
@ruchita.ladha_gitlab
it has transactions
Sameroom
@sameroom-bot
[Victor Baranov, POA Network] Does it show new blocks in UI? Is any public URL to your explorer?
ruchita
@ruchita.ladha_gitlab
I don't have public url for my explorer....Its not showing new blocks in UI......should I restart phoenix server or something?
Sameroom
@sameroom-bot
[Victor Baranov, POA Network] Yes, at least try to restart and look server logs for any meaningful errors if restart will not help
ruchita
@ruchita.ladha_gitlab
Restarting phoenix server helped! Appreciate your time!!

Hello, I am running blockscout for my own private chain (besu) via Docker.
Everything seems to be working correctly but the home page does not refresh by itself..
Anyone who had a similar issue?
mul53
@mul53

Hey, i upgraded from v1 to v3, there is an increase in the number of wallet addresses i see on the homepage what could be the problem

Upgraded version: 26,683
Old version: 9,992
SubNetwork: Fuse
Variant: Parity

Sameroom
@sameroom-bot
[Victor Baranov, POA Network] @mul53 could you find at least 1 address which exists in v3 and doesn’t exist in v1 and give a link to it in your v3 explorer or a screenshot with the activity of this address to elaborate?
mul53
@mul53
@sameroom-bot i tried to find an address but couldn't find it, here is a link to the v1 explorer, screenshot v3
Sameroom
@sameroom-bot
[Victor Baranov, POA Network] I suppose you can find by comparing differences in addresses table in both DB instances
Ivan Shterev
@IvanShterev7_twitter
Hello, I made a transaction to a wallet address, which I created through a ledger wallet, but at the moment I can't access it.
I see the transaction from the explorer
iñigo
@WolfofUniswap_twitter
hi!
mul53
@mul53
@sameroom-bot okay when i picked one address and entered it on both explorers it was a contract address, so i'm assuming it counts both wallet and contract addresses?
Sameroom
@sameroom-bot
[Victor Baranov, POA Network] Ah, I recalled the reason differences. From version v2.1.0 we take into account all accounts which participated in transactions no matter which balance of the account. In the versions less than v2.1.0 we took into account only accounts with a current non-zero balance. This change initiated in this PR poanetwork/blockscout#2718. You can take for the rationale there and how to rollback the change if you don’t want to deal with it.

hey Viktor, thanks you got the answering
Does contracts also count as wallets? We have much of wallet proxy contracts that don't hold native currency. So that can explain perfectly 20k new wallets

Sameroom
@sameroom-bot
[Victor Baranov, POA Network] yep, contracts and EOA both are considered in that counter. By the way, they both were considered and before v2.1.0, but there was a filter to account only addresses with positive balance. Currently, we do not filter. And, I suppose, this is where the difference came from.
Leon Prouger
@leonprou
yep exactly. the wallet contracts don't hold fuse (we use a relay service). thanks for helping on that
Leon Prouger
@leonprou
Hey, looks like our new explorer is always behind a 1-2 blocks. Seems it updated the block numbers any 10 seconds while on Fuse there's a block every 5 secs. Is that any config to define this behaviour ? That's the new explorer: http://ec2-18-196-18-236.eu-central-1.compute.amazonaws.com:4000/
Sameroom
@sameroom-bot
[Victor Baranov, POA Network] Hey, did you provide websocket URL ETHEREUM_JSONRPC_WS_URL or you don’t ws enabled on the node?
Leon Prouger
@leonprou
Yeah I pass this:
ETHEREUM_JSONRPC_WS_URL=wss://explorer-node.fuse.io/ws
that's what we pass to the current explorer (v1): https://explorer.fuse.io/
Sameroom
@sameroom-bot

[Victor Baranov, POA Network] If websockets endpoint provided, then I suppose it is the highest speed of appearance of the new blocks in the latest release. I assume, indexing could be slower in v3 than in v1 but it protects your DB from possible discrepancies. New indexing was introduced in v3.0.0 . Here are all PRs to enable it

poanetwork/blockscout#2835, poanetwork/blockscout#2871, poanetwork/blockscout#2872, poanetwork/blockscout#2886, poanetwork/blockscout#2925, poanetwork/blockscout#2936, poanetwork/blockscout#2949, poanetwork/blockscout#2940, poanetwork/blockscout#2958 - Add “block_hash” to logs, token_transfers and internal transactions and “pending blocks operations” approachv

I see, thanks. Yeah looking at xdai explorer I see the same behaviour: https://blockscout.com/poa/xdai/
We also rely on the explorer API in our apps, so 5-10 secs delay sounds non neglectable

I am using a custom experimental geth implementation which does not implement ETHEREUM_JSONRPC_TRACE_URL - this generates an immense constant amount of error messages
Is it possible to kinda "disable" this functionality?
I tried with an empty string but does not seem to work
Sameroom
@sameroom-bot
[Igor Barinov, POA Network] which implementation is it?
Michelle S Bachler

Your Environment variable documentation has a property called ENABLE_TX_STATS. But in the code in your GitHub it seems to be called ENABLE_TXS_STATS (with the S).
