Hi! Anyone active on this chat? Is there something like a to-do list for the PHP client if one would like to do something (starting very small, I am not an experienced programmer ;D)
Davi Ferreira
@daviferreira
That should be easy, you can either use items + category or tasks

Hmm.. I meant maybe more like things that need to be done for the php api client :) I'm looking at the issues list. for instance fixing small things like podio/podio-php#81 is easy enough for me. My fix checks if the rate-limit header isset() before returning it. I just wonder if returning null is ok if the header is not set (which is the case if the api client has not yet authenticated).

Hi. Why comments have no support to save strings in external_id field? Podio items has, but not comments. Zendesk shared tickets generates string hash uuid for comments that must be saved as external_id for relevant comments in Podio.

@jac-q100 did you try something like this:
PodioComment::create('item', $itemId, ['external_id'=>'YOUR STRING']);
jac-q100
@jac-q100
Yes. With PodioComment::create and PodioComment::update external_id is always saved as integer.

@daniel-sc
@jac-q100 actually there is a bug in the podio-php api client - the externalId is stored correctly, but when reading the comment with the php client the comment gets converted to 0 - I'll create a fix..
checkout ba4a6b87cd173d8099390f0bbecd4253a9d84bcb - with this change everything should work smoothly..

It is of course up to you to motivate Podio staff to merge my pull request: podio/podio-php#114 ;)
