@dragoonis a redirect response is just a response with the 301/302 status code and a location header
If you want to make that easier, maybe make a factory for it that takes a response and returns a modified version
$redirect_factory->redirect($response, $url,

Typically passing a response to a redirect function isn’t necessary. In ZF2 and other frameworks, it’s just a matter of $this->redirect($routeName);

    return $this->redirectToRoute('homepage’);
