    @kylesnowschwartz
    yup that provides some clues, i'll give things a go :thumbsup:
    why is thumbsdown before thumbsup in autocomplete
    Nick Johnstone
    @Widdershin
    I know right
    we should fix that haha
    Nick Johnstone
    @Widdershin
    yeah it's an issue with 1.39.1
    kylesnowschwartz
    @kylesnowschwartz
    Build is a go, hot tip if you have previously installed a different version of emscription, you need to activate your other versions emsdk activate 1.38.46
    For some reason there's a json parse error in the javascript though
    in our little http example
    Nick Johnstone
    @Widdershin
    yeah right now when an error occurs the javascript still tries to parse the result
    dw about it, I need to fix it
    Nick Johnstone
    @Widdershin
    @kylesnowschwartz added basic support for calling the block when we get an http response
    made some good progress tonight!
    should be able to cut out the build step and mruby/emscripten dependencies for development
    kylesnowschwartz
    @kylesnowschwartz
    Holy shit that’s dope! Nice one, gotta check it out next time I get that itch to code

    Hey Guys
    Looking to build my blog, found prism-rb
    It'll do nicely?
    Nick Johnstone
    @Widdershin
    hi @ruevaughn :) welcome to the prism chat
    Chasej
    @ruevaughn
    hi :)
    Nick Johnstone
    @Widdershin
    You could definitely make a blog with Prism
    Chasej
    @ruevaughn
    Never joined a chat, figured I better start.
    Ok
    So it has many other features as well?
    I'm looking at it as we speak.
    Nick Johnstone
    @Widdershin
    It might be worth considering just using a static site generator like jekyll or nanoc instead
    Chasej
    @ruevaughn
    Probably
    Nick Johnstone
    @Widdershin
    prism is designed for making clientside applications
    But if you want to make your blog as an SPA Prism could do a nice job
    Chasej
    @ruevaughn
    I just feel no satisfaction from Jekyll but it's probably right
    Nick Johnstone
    @Widdershin
    haha I know that feeling
    Chasej
    @ruevaughn
    I want to be able to do a lot of things
    Nick Johnstone
    @Widdershin
    for the prism docs I wrote my own static site generator
    it's an 80 line ruby script haha
    Chasej
    @ruevaughn
    See that sounds awesome
    Nick Johnstone
    @Widdershin
    just so I can embed interactive examples easily
    well if you're aware that it's not the most direct option, then yeah give Prism a go for making your blog :) right now it's in very early development, so there will be some missing functionality
    right now I think the most annoying thing is that there's no routing out of the box?
    but if you run into any problems open an issue and I'll fix it :)
    There's also no command right now for building releases but you just need to include a few scripts in your html and call Prism.run, I need to put some docs up for that
    kylesnowschwartz
    @kylesnowschwartz
    Yo @Widdershin congrats on prism being in the Ruby Weekly newsletter!
    Nick Johnstone
    @Widdershin
    Thanks @kylesnowschwartz :)
    Nick Johnstone
    @Widdershin
    okay so apparently the mruby version we're using does actually support kwargs and safe traversal
    I had bad information
    and pretty much all the stdlib stuff up to 2.6
    which is sweet
    and it turns out someone else is releasing a transpiler in a week anyway
    so the entire syntax issue should be deal with!
