Hi .. I there any way to implement enterprise flogo mapper activity into docker flogo .. coz the docker flogo mapper activity is not able to take the inputs to map

Do we know how to subscribe a message from Solace Queue/Topic ? Tried with REST invoke get method but got only Queue/Topic properties but not body. Also verified with MQTT Topic Subscriber but I could not see any subscriber count on the topic... Any Pointers ??
Mark Mussett
@mmussett
@hari-kasetty Shouldn’t be difficult to write a trigger for PubSub+
hari-kasetty
@hari-kasetty
Thanks Mark. Could you please give some reference to write a trigger for Subscribing message from Solace ?
Samip Kothari
@skothari-tibco
@dhire05 I think coerce.toParams should do it. Also there’s no straightforward way to have enterprise contributions on OSS logo.
Leon Stigter
@retgits
@hari-kasetty if you want to connect using the Mqtt protocol you can use the existing trigger that @jvanderl has written... if you want to connect using the native Solace protocols you’ll have to ask the Solace team to build a Go SDK

@alexandrev
Hi team, I'm building a Prometheus Pusher activity and everything is working fine in local when I do the tests and so on, but when I use it inside my app, I'm getting these kind of errors
2019/06/08 22:36:03 proto: duplicate proto type registered: io.prometheus.client.Bucket
2019/06/08 22:36:03 proto: duplicate proto type registered: io.prometheus.client.Metric
2019/06/08 22:36:03 proto: duplicate proto type registered: io.prometheus.client.MetricFamily
panic: proto: duplicate enum registered: io.prometheus.client.MetricType
I'm only importing the packages in my activity.go, nothing else...
any hints?
Mark Mussett
@mmussett
@alexandrev There’s already a statsd activity that works with Prometheus and Grafana on the showcase that i wrote.
hari-kasetty
@hari-kasetty
@retgits Thank you for your response. When connected using MQTT Protocol , I could not see any subscriber count on the topic and also messages are not flowing ... Do we need to check anything in MQTT or any specific settings. Any pointers please ..
Alexandre Vazquez
@alexandrev
@mmussett that a lot, but that requires an statd daemon running right? and then using Prometheus Exporter for statsd? Or am I missing something?
Andy Hampshire
@ayh20
@alexandrev That sounds like a Golang issue ..... if you search for "proto: duplicate proto type registered" there are a number of hits that describe situation where there is some form of name collision with different packages ... my go skills arn't enough to help you any further....
Alexandre Vazquez
@alexandrev
@ayh20 yep, the problem seems to be a colission with the embedded Prometheyus integration in FE 2.6
I'll try in OSS and see if it is working fine there
Andy Hampshire
@ayh20
@hari-kasetty What do you see if you turn on DEBUG ? Do you see connection information when Flogo connects to MQTT ? Have you tried emulating your connection details with a tool like MQTT.fx ? Have you tried a different MQTT server like Mosquitto to eliminate that the problem is with the server ? I've used MQTT quite a bit and the only issues i've ever had are due to me not getting the right url or topic name patterns
Massimo Bestazza
@mbestazza
Hi all does anyone try to run flogo on espressif 32?
hari-kasetty
@hari-kasetty
@ayh20 . Thank you so much Andy for your inputs. In Solace, I don't see any option to turn on DEBUG mode. I tried using MQTT.fx tool that is mentioned. Able to see Client ID in MQTT Sessions. But in the MQTT.fx console, "session present: false". Could you please let me know if I am missing something here.

@ayh20
@hari-kasetty i was thinking of DEBUG for the FLOGO_lOG_LEVEL ... what messages does the trigger generate when it tries to connect.
If you can't get MQTT.fx to connect then i suspect that the problem is at the Solace end..... you need a Solace expert i guess
hari-kasetty
@hari-kasetty
Thank you for quick reply. It is showing below log in Flogo when I used MQTT Topic Subscriber which does not have errors.

@ayh20
Turn on DEBUG and what other messages do you get ?
Do you know Solace provides a fully compliant version of MQTT ? If MQTT.fx doesn't work either then i don't think Flogo is your problem
Samip Kothari
@skothari-tibco
@hari-kasetty a while back we had some issues reading from mqtt broker using paho.mqtt.golang library (which flogo trigger uses to connect to mqtt) version v1.2.0 . However we were able to read using v1.1.1 . I would suggest creating a sample Go program and test out which version is able to connect and read .
hari-kasetty
@hari-kasetty
Thank you Andy and Samip for sharing valuable inputs. I will look into it and will see if I get any connection to Solace using MQTT. Thanks Again !!!
Alexandre Vazquez
@alexandrev
do we have something like an if;then;else function to use inside the mappings?
Mark Mussett
@mmussett
@alexandrev i use a graphite/grafana container. Works a treat for time series data
Alexandre Vazquez
@alexandrev
thanks @mmussett I'll take a look at another option instead of using Prometheus!
Mark Mussett
@mmussett
@mbestazza RPI is still the best device to show off flogo on

Hi All,
Hope you are doing good!
I've been trying to send a kafka message via "Publish Kafka message" activity. But it errors out saying the below

"Kafkapub failed to create a SyncProducer. Check any TLS or SASL parameters carefully. Reason given: [kafka: client has run out of available brokers to talk to (Is your cluster reachable?)]"

NOTE: zookeeper(3.4.14) & kafka(2.12-2.2.0) broker are running in localhost in its default ports. Topic is also created. Basic producer-consumer test works with kafka-console-producer.bat & kafka-console-consumer.bat
Any pointers? Thanks!

Jan van der Lugt
@jvanderl
@mbestazza I made some flogo device profiles for espressif32 as well. See ESP32 under https://github.com/jvanderl/flogo-components/tree/master/device/profile but Flogo device is not in a very useful development stage yet. Feel free to reach out if you need any help.

There seems to be some compatibility issues while using sarama cluster(Shopify/sarama#941)

@sivagtibco
Hi This is Siva.. I am new to Flogo.. can you tell me how to provide Config parameters in UI? For example in the rest trigger if i want to provide port as a config param..
Matt Ellis
@mellistibco
If you want to use an env car just type $env.NAME_OF_VAR
sivagtibco
@sivagtibco
Thanks Matt where can i define these vars in ui?
Matt Ellis
@mellistibco
You don’t define env vars in the ui. You will just need to set them at runtime
sivagtibco
@sivagtibco
ok if i multiple then while running the app can i set all of those vars with spaces something like ./myapp $env.Name=Siva $env.ID=1 etc?
sivagtibco
@sivagtibco
i set the env variable like FLOGO_APP_PROPS_OVERRIDE=C:\Users\sganise\Downloads\props.json and i had given variables in the file
but some how it is not taking it from the file
i added "properties": [
{
"name": "port",
"type": "string",
"value": "8002"
}
],
in the app
and my props.json having { "port": 8003 }
C:\Users\sganise\Downloads>FLOGO_APP_PROPS_OVERRIDE=C:\Users\sganise\Downloads\props.json healthcheck-gv_windows_amd64.exe
'FLOGO_APP_PROPS_OVERRIDE' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file
or if i run without giving the above env prop my app is still taking default value
Leon Stigter
@retgits
If you’re running on windows you’ll need to use either the set command first to create an environment variable or add them using the control panel (the way you’re trying it now is how it works in Linux / macOS)
sivagtibco
@sivagtibco
Hi Leon I did that before I test
But the variable which I specified is not picking from the file
