I tried with Mysql and the same thing happen, Failed to create engine: error unmarshalling flow: sql: unknown driver "mysql" (forgotten import?)
How do I add an import as part of the build ?
Matt Ellis
@mellistibco
for postgres looks like a typo in the metadata, try postres
as for importing, i think you’ll need to edit the imports.go file
in your project dir/src @fm-tibco
philippe-lavoie
@philippe-lavoie
I'm using the docker version, can I bind the src folder somewhere ?
if you look above, I can't get flogo-web to work locally, alwasy getting the es6.regexp.split error
Matt Ellis
@mellistibco
hmm @fcastill
Fabián Castillo
@fcastill
the engine project is located under /flogo-web/local/engines/flogo-web in the docker image, I guess you could enter a running container using docker exec -it /bin/bash and navigating to that folder to modify the src or you can mount that directory too
there’s no way to refresh the UI to take any manual changes you did to underlying engine project though, if you install new contributions you will need to re-start the server app
Fabián Castillo
@fcastill
@philippe-lavoie about the issues running the web app locally please make sure you have nodeJS v10 or later, it might also be an issue with outdated dependencies, make sure they’re up to date by running yarn install inside the flogo-web project. In your case since you upgraded yarn I think it is better to delete the node_modules directory and then run yarn install
philippe-lavoie
@philippe-lavoie
would nodeJS 11 be a problem ? Although I though since the server works correctly
Fabián Castillo
@fcastill
just tried Node v11.15.0 and yarn 1.16.0 and client app is running without issues
philippe-lavoie
@philippe-lavoie
I'm deleting node_modules
still need another 14 minutes...
the joy of node programming...

I'm writing a flogo library that starts up a UDP server, which will be used for both trigger and activities. The challenge is that this is intended to be a shared service, so is there a mechanism in Flogo that allows an existing handle to be passed to another activity?
Samip Kothari
@skothari-tibco
Yes. You can use something which is called connections. You edit the UDP trigger to accept connections; you define that in the app.json and access that in any of the activity. Eg. https://github.com/project-flogo/datastore-contrib/tree/master/mongodb . https://github.com/skothari-tibco/samplekafkaconn .
wkarasz
@wkarasz
@skothari-tibco Thanks.

What is the advice, should we be using github.com/TIBCOSoftware/flogo-lib/core/ or github.com/project-flogo/core?

@dcsouthwick
enterprise project being visible/same name is very confusing
I'm testing my package install with the CLI and it seems to have some caching behavior that go clean -cache -gocache -i -r doesnt catch.. how to I get it to clean retry installing?
Matt Ellis
@mellistibco
The TIBCOSoftware/Flogo-* is there for anyone who is using that older version. It’s not the enterprise version. Also I think the readme indicates that that version is deprecated... go cache would only apply if it was using the same repo name. Go ahead and just delete $GOPATH/bin/flogo and then do a go get -u GitHub.com/project-Flogo/CLI/... (note sending from my phone in a taxi so that exact cmd may be different)

An updated on the GUI issue I had, doing 'yarn upgrade' will break flogo-web. Can someone confirm ?

would someone be able to give my contrib attempt a test? I'm catching some weird install error and I'm not sure whats causing it: https://github.com/dcsouthwick/flogo-components/tree/master/functions/time
it seems to be pulling old commits... and I'm not sure why:
go: github.com/dcsouthwick/flogo-components/functions/time@v0.0.0-20200129151911-85507ad685df: parsing go.mod:
    module declares its path as: github.com/dcsouthwick/flogo-components/function/timestamp
            but was required as: github.com/dcsouthwick/flogo-components/functions/time
wkarasz
@wkarasz
@mellistibco Thanks. I had a concern about why my trigger was being installed as a legacy-trigger
Samip Kothari
@skothari-tibco

@dcsouthwick

flogo install github.com/dcsouthwick/flogo-components/functions/time
Installed function: github.com/dcsouthwick/flogo-components/functions/time

What’s the issue again?

David Southwick
@dcsouthwick
hmm.. well if it works for you then no issue :D
Samip Kothari
@skothari-tibco
@wkarasz you’ll need to edit out descriptor.json . Particulary remove “ref” from it.
@dcsouthwick may be you can clear out previous contributions.
David Southwick
@dcsouthwick
for some reason its not pulling the latest... perhaps related to project-flogo/cli#107
but flogo install github.com/dcsouthwick/flogo-components/functions/time@1411020c5cb99083ef893ec8813383efda761b2d works just fine
Samip Kothari
@skothari-tibco
I think this https://github.com/project-flogo/cli/issues/93 might be.
David Southwick
@dcsouthwick
huh. You are right!
what a bizarre default behaviour
Samip Kothari
@skothari-tibco
Yes, it is.

An updated on the GUI issue I had, doing 'yarn upgrade' will break flogo-web. Can someone confirm ?

@philippe-lavoie can you let us know your yarn version?

philippe-lavoie
@philippe-lavoie
@apandurangi 1.16.0
I checked on a different machine which has 1.21.1 and I get the same result
Anand Pandurangi
@apandurangi
okay. let me check from my side and confirm you. I generally do a yarn install and use the versions maintained in yarn.lock
Anand Pandurangi
@apandurangi
Seems nrwl is updating to 8.12 from 8.4. not sure flogo-web code is compatible with that change
philippe-lavoie
@philippe-lavoie
What is nrwl ?
Anand Pandurangi
@apandurangi
it is a node dependency we are using to control our monorepos in flogo-web code
May I ask the need for you to do yarn upgrade?
philippe-lavoie
@philippe-lavoie
each time I do 'yarn start' , the first line that shows up is ``Browserslist: caniuse-lite is outdated. Please run next commandyarn upgrade````
I was obeying the command! :)
