Hello @LNga - thanks for sharing, we will investigate to try to replicate the issue.

@LNga
Could you please try on your side with this API and tell me what occurs for you?
I read the conversation above and tried with this other API: https://api.gdax.com/products/ETH-USD/ticker and it works fine !
Just don't get why mine isn't working ...
Thank you @oraclize-support

@oraclize-support

@LNga - using our test query tool, some issues are occurring during the extraction of some field from the api, however it is possible to extract fields like the following: json(https://api.coindesk.com/v1/bpi/historical/close?currency=EUR).bpi

Test query tool: http://app.oraclize.it/home/test_query#VVJMKEdFVCk=:anNvbihodHRwczovL2FwaS5jb2luZGVzay5jb20vdjEvYnBpL2hpc3RvcmljYWwvY2xvc2U/Y3VycmVuY3k9RVVSKS5icGk=

Still we are experiencing some weird behaviours under the hood. Thanks for pointing the issue out, we are investigating.

Hi,

Is it possible to know how Oraclize communicates with external world? I have my Fabric Network and I can't understand how Oraclize do whatever it does. Which port use to send the request when consulting a data from an API like https://min-api.cryptocompare.com? I know GET and POST requests are sent via request dependency on the oraclize-connector chaincode... But, in terms of infrastructure I don't know how is it possible. Is the communication process with the outside world the same for Fabric and for the other Blockchain platforms? Can you give me a deeper explanation?

thank you so much.

@oraclize-support

Hi @SirJ0han,

Basically, on your peer - which needs to fetch data from cryptocompare - you have to install your chaincode importing our api, and also install our connector chaincode.
After this preliminary steps, you can query whichever URL resource you like with the function OraclizeQuery_sync implemented in our API.

Checking out our documentation will explains in depth how the Fabric integration works and maybe would be really useful for you to try the tutorial in the Fabric Quick Start section: https://docs.oraclize.it/#fabric-quick-start. The tutorial will clearly show the transaction flow and how you can query data from an API endpoint.

Hi, I'm trying to get the solidity examples working on remix and am having some problems https://github.com/provable-things/ethereum-examples/tree/master/solidity
I was able to install the provable plugin, create and compile the "DieselPrice.sol" contract, but got problems running it, something about a payable address

@yubrew
I got a different example running, the ETHUSD example from http://docs.provable.xyz/#ethereum-quick-start but it doesn't seem to wait for the url request to complete to update the price.

Hi @yubrew - can you copy & paste the error you're getting in here?

It is not showing any queries in the provable oracle service 0.2.0 plugin
after I click on updatePrice
Oh, I just realized you have an ethereum-api room, I'll move my question over there

Hi @oraclize-support .I want to know that does provable support for hyperledger fabric to ethereum or for any other blockchain?.is there any generic smart contract to send data between fabric to ethereum or any other blockchain. I tried https://github.com/provable-things/fabric-api this is only for fabric, here only between fabric chaincode.
my question is regarding interblockchain communication.

@ssk-gitLedger
@AxelVargas_gitlab @zhaoyang626 try with git checkout to fabric repo release-1.4 in your GOPATH fabric dir.then run with go get "github.com/oraclize/fabric-api" command.

Hi @ssk-git I currently work on this tag v1.4.0-rc2-161-g53f6fee
And I get the error
Sandip
@ssk-gitLedger
@AxelVargas_gitlab check your gopath first .may be fabric dir is not placed this "github.com/hyperledger/fabric/" path .

I tried with those configuration but is not working yet, I don't know what is wrong
Sandip
@ssk-gitLedger
@AxelVargas_gitlab you declared/exported GOPATH twise .keep only export GOPATH=$HOME/go_proj this path
then place fabric source code in src/github.com/hyperledger/
finaly it will look like /home/axel/go_proj/src/github.com/hyperledger/fabric

@oraclize-support Try your example, chaincode are both installed and Instantiated, but when query contract to test, have this error.

@Nizomjon1994 install new version of chaincode and instead of instantiate do upgrade the chaincode.

Hi, im new here and new to fabric as well, i am dealing with private data, lets assump that in my network there will be 3 org and each org will have they private data. So how to share a record in private data directly via chaincode ? I mean sharing without re-commit and deploy a new version of chaincode

Hello @SirJ0han - actually the computation datasource, which is what you need to perform a query involving a request with customer headers, is not yet available for Hyperledger Fabric.
However, we have added the implementation of the computation datasource to our roadmap for the fabric API. We also will answer the issue you opened on the fabric-api repo on Github.

hi @oraclize-support , I was wondering if the computation support mentioned last year has now been added to the API?

Hi @oraclize-support , could you provide an example query for using HTTP post within Fabric & Go. I've tried numerous formats for the query but none seem to pass data (although the API is triggered)

Hello everyone, i am using Node SDK in my application. Wanted to ask if the 2.2 release supports the install and instanciate of the chaincode like its done here in the 1.4 release : https://hyperledger.github.io/fabric-sdk-node/release-1.4/Client.html#installChaincode__anchor
I was going through the 2.2 docs and i didn't know how to install my chaincode
thank you

@oraclize-support Is there any way to delegate cryptographic operations performed by Hyperledger Fabric nodes(client nodes, orderer nodes, and peers) to Hashicorp Vault? Allowing peers and orderer nodes to sign and endorse transactions without exposing their private keys.

Hyperledger Fabric officially supports HSM but I am unable to find any relevant document to do the same by replacing HSM with Hashicorp Vault.

@Docker07931280_twitter to get it working with Fabric 2.X I had to update the fabric dependancy in the API repo (https://github.com/hill399/fabric-api). With changes to example code here (https://github.com/hill399/fabric-examples). Hope this helps.
