Hello all, can I get some basic information about Pupil? For example, what eye tracking metrics are available to researchers using the Pupil HTC Vive eye tracking integration? I read roundtrip latency between 0-20ms depending on gigebitE, what is the average latency in the stack?

Pupil position? IPD? Eyeball center pose? eye to lens distance? eye to screen distance? point of regard? binocular gaze vectors? cyclopean gaze vector? pupil diameter?

The htc vive plugin hardware itself will give you binocular 120hz ir images of the eyes. The latency from start of exposure to availability to the user is 5.7ms.
@Izard_of_Widd_twitter The rest is done is software. Currently we supply the pupil position in 2d. With our 3d model you will also get the pupil position in 3d. Currently in progress is porting 3d calibration from our mobile configuration (binocular headset with scene camera ) to the hmd setup. With this we will supply point of regard in 3d, binocualar gaze vectors.
cyclopian gaze is trivially calculated from pupil pos in point of regard in 3d.
pupil diameter is already reported.

Hi there, I am using Unity with pupil. I am wondering how to get the gaze direction data in the world camera coordination system?
The code on https://github.com/pupil-labs/hmd-eyes/tree/master/unity_integration seems to receive data only in the eye camera coordination system

Hi, I'm doing a raycast from the camera with the position of the center of the eye, but I have to add a constant value to get the good offset. I'm sure it has something to do with the cam FoV and I would like to know what would be the good calculations.

Hi I have 2 problems with pupil capture and Unity:
  • Pupil Capture v0.8.7 sent me an error when I click on "Detect eye 1" or "Detect eye 2"
  • Pupil Capture v0.9.0 only send me data on one eye in Unity

I seem to have the same problem with the unity integration and pupil capture as @AntoineOmind . With pupil capture v0.9.0 i get an error in capture:

After using pupil capture for a while, I can't start the eye processes anymore. They keep crashing immediately

Hi! I have been working with pupil labs for few days now and the pupil capture works but I am having trouble getting Unity to connect with the software. On Hololens I can deploy the program but it doesn't seem to get a connection and on Unity editor I keep getting log messages: "Could not connect, retrying in 5 seconds". Could someone point me to the right direction to get it working?
