@ntoll f-strings :) Python 3.5 does not have f-strings :)
I don't think it is an issue.
I should upgrade to a newer OS.
Nicholas Tollervey
@ntoll
Hahaha... it does say in the docs somewhere that PyperCard is 3.6+ ;-)
Kushal Das
@kushaldas
Exactly, the user is at fault.
So, not creating an issue.
Nicholas Tollervey
@ntoll
PEBCAK
Kushal Das
@kushaldas
I am not checking twitter regularly, so I missed the announcement of this project :(
Nicholas Tollervey
@ntoll
I'm pretty much off Twitter completely. I use it as write only social media. I make announcements and then don't read any of it. Sometimes I follow up on replies, but not that much.
Kushal Das
@kushaldas
Yes, and I deleted access to Twitter from all of my devices except one.
So that I don't feel angry and sad all the time, and instead focus on work.
Nicholas Tollervey
@ntoll
Exactly ;-)
ANNOUNCEMENT: If any of you are interested in participating in PyWeek, I hope to build a sort of a game using PyperCard so the project has a fun example project. Details here: https://pyweek.org/e/missed/ (part of PyWeek 28 happening in October)

@ntoll and I moved to Buster, now finally pypercard working for me (after some fight to get the right libs for debian).
This is the coolest thing I've seen in Python so far, I've been looking for a UI that is easy to develop with and I've found. Thanks for creating this and to anyone who contributes to it
@ntoll do you think this kind of slowly building up different things is a good idea for that chapter?
@tjguk_twitter Good morning to you too
Nicholas Tollervey
@ntoll
Hi @tjguk_twitter :-)
Tim Golden
@tjguk_twitter
Up to my eyebrows in election-related data issues so I won't stay here. Just passing through... :)
Nicholas Tollervey
@ntoll
@kushaldas yes. Because it approaches the module in lots of different ways.
Kushal Das
@kushaldas
Ah, good then
I will continue slowly introducing new new thing there :)
Nicholas Tollervey
@ntoll
Just note that I need to do a bunch of updates to PyperCard. I don't think what's there will necessarily change, but new stuff (or new ways to do things) may appear.
@tjguk_twitter best of luck with the election issues. FWIW, the election IS a huge issue in and of itself. I guess we'll know how big an issue on Friday morning.
Kushal Das
@kushaldas
no issues in that, I will update the book accordingly
