Hello!
I'm an engineering student at Imperial College London undergoing a research project. I'm continuing the work of a previous student using your library for spatial analysis, but I'm running into some issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @danekwo! Yes, definitely. We can help here, or you can open an issue on GitHub to describe it.
Levi John Wolf
@ljwolf
Rad thanks @danekwo! Will be able to get a thorough look tomorrow

Gratz on 2.5.0, all! As a reminder for the dev meeting this coming Friday (8/5/2021), please feel free to add any items you would like to discuss to the HackMD document

@jeffcsauer
Hi all - monthly dev meeting set to start in 5 minutes or so. Agenda available here. Would someone mind circulating the google meet? I'm currently in the waiting room and have a feeling this isn't quite right...
Noah Bouchier
@noahbouchier
I believe it’s this one - correct me if I’m wrong https://meet.google.com/hqj-xbyq-sdc

@jeffcsauer
Ah yeah that's the one I'm in the waiting room for
eli knaap
@knaaptime
we may have to create another one. I think serge is out today and if it's his room he wont be able to let us in
Levi John Wolf
@ljwolf
hmm ok

Hi! Apologies for popping here again, I'm not the best at coding.
I'm running into some issues when trying to build weight objects from an xArray dataArray with some missing values (np.nan), as it appears to not ignore points with missing values. When running "w.islands", an empty array is returned. Is there please anyone available for a quick call sometime this week to see if I've made an obvious mistake? Thanks.
(I can provide my code if needed)
Levi John Wolf
@ljwolf
Hi Dan, the missing pixels are ignored, rather than added as “disconnected” points.
Taylor Oshan
@TaylorOshan
final gsoc meeting link?
jeffcsauer
@jeffcsauer
Hi all - would anyone be able to host the developer meeting tomorrow? Both Taylor and I have teaching commitments and are unavailable.
Martin Fleischmann
@martinfleis
I can do that
jeffcsauer
@jeffcsauer
Thanks so much, Martin! I will let Taylor know as well.

@sjsrey
I have to bail on today’s meeting as I had a late family scheduling conflict come up.

noted. I'll share a new link to Google Meet ahead of the meeting then.

Hi, can someone with the proper rights enable codecov for momepy in pysal org? It should be here https://github.com/organizations/pysal/settings/installations/6841610 but I get 404 as I don't have an access.
James Gaboardi
@jGaboardi
I think only @sjsrey and @ljwolf have these permissions.
Levi John Wolf
@ljwolf
I'd like to open these rights up
Levi John Wolf
@ljwolf
I've enabled codecov for all repositories
I think the issue with these things is that they're restrictive by default
which, I suppose is reasonable infosec practice, but it's not like..... conducive to distributed teams
Martin Fleischmann
@martinfleis
yeah. thanks!
Levi John Wolf
@ljwolf
I'll chat w/ @sjsrey soon about increasing the default level of control folks can have with their repositories
but, @martinfleis you should have full admin over pysal/momepy
Martin Fleischmann
@martinfleis
I do, yes
Levi John Wolf
@ljwolf
this is an organization-level thing I think
Martin Fleischmann
@martinfleis
yeah, that is why I wasn't able to switch it on
Levi John Wolf
@ljwolf
right, ok
Dani Arribas-Bel

@darribas
hey, I think a fresh install of pysal is potentially broken now: pysal/segregation#190
eli knaap
@knaaptime
i saw the error go up last on the nightlies yesterday. I think its a quick fix over in rvlib
i think you could get around it by pinning whatever the prior release of pyyaml is
but i can get a new rvlib released quickly that will fix
Dani Arribas-Bel
@darribas
Cool! If you’re planning on releasing soon, I might hold on until that. The container has so many libraries that I’m learning the hard way pinning a given variable feels great at night but you usually regret it in the morning :smile:
