dear all, novice here. Discovered Qiqqa 2 days ago, seems just the right tool for me (!). But this is unfortunately happening right in the middle of a big change (websync to Intranet library).. so I have a few questions.
    • 1 Here and there there are warnings NOT to use sync services like Dropbox as they may corrupt the library, but on github repo there is: "Users are encouraged to migrate their Web Libraries into Intranet libraries, and use Google Drive or Dropbox as the 'sync point' for those libraries." Let me suppose: it's ok to use Dropbox to store the intranet library but not for the data directory. Am I right?
    • 2 as a complete idiot I created the "intranet" library in the same Dropbox directory into which I stored my 6G of pdfs collected over years. Luckily Qiqqa didn't broke anything, but put some warnings in the directory, like don't touch anything here. That could be ok - i can manage to handle the pdfs thru Qiqqa from now onwards. But there are some things (not pdfs) that I must remove from the library, because I will change them.. other tools databases, as an example. Is it safe to remove from the library files that are NOT pdfs? and what about any pdf that I don't want in the library? After deleting it from within Qiqqa, can I safely remove the file from the "intranet" library?
      Thanks for any help!

Hello people, is it possible to directly download the qiqqa installer/binaries ? the releases on github don't seem to have such things (or I couldn't find them) Thanks a lot!!

    Hiya peeps,
I've installed open source qiqqa but can't seem to find instructions for migrating libraries. Is there a manual available dedicated to the migrating to the open source version?

@somwolf & @mylohimself I made an issue for this and was helped here: jimmejardine/qiqqa-open-source#149 If you make a new "Intranet library" (the terminology is an issue too!) you can put that in a google drive (or wherever) and there's a button to allow you to copy from a web lib. I did this, then I plan to delete the old libraries.

There's an installer for V80 and V81. Not sure why there isn't for the later/experimental versions!
