    I think @vadi2 is using Qml.Net in some kind of production like environment?
    Paul Knopf
    @pauldotknopf
    It can be compiled to work on ARM.

    what developement environments are you all using? im finding it quite hard to learn qml in vscode without any intelisense . any recomendations?

    how does on go about setting that up to work with qml.net? won't it autogenerate a bunch of c++ files?

    @leonardus
    I'm trying to call a C# method from a Qml file, but it just keeps giving the error: TypeError: Property 'TestMethod' of object CSharp(0xb7cb00) is not a function
    I'm guessing that there's something obvious here that I'm missing, but I can't find what I could possibly be doing wrong after reading through the Qml.Net documentation and example code.
    leonardus
    @leonardus
    Oh, wow. I see what was happening here. Qml.Net converts the first character of the C# method to lowercase, and uses that name in Qml.
    That would be extremely helpful to point out in the documentation. It drove me insane trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.

    hello, I found out this amazing tool while trying to understand how to integrate SignalR Core in a QML app, in order to call my AspnetCore server, and now I'm trying to understand how to get started. I've tried to: build the source code, with an error, and run the examples (and the Chat App by @MaxMommersteeg ) but when running the clients nothing happens: no window is opened...
    I get the feeling that my Qt version (5.13) isn't supported but I couldn't find it written explicitly in the docs. Which Qt version should I install, if 5.13 is no good?
    Max
    @MaxMommersteeg
    @leonardus Glad you figured it out. Would you mind adding this to the documentation with a pr?
    @Etchelon Do you have a repo that I can run to reproduce the issue?
    Andrea Bertoldo
    @Etchelon
    @MaxMommersteeg actually I have downloaded you Chat App, run the 2 scripts: the server one goes well, the app starts listening on ports 5000 and 5001; the client app is stuck on "starting the client" and the QWindow never opens
    same with the examples
    but I don't think this should be related to the Qt version I have installed, because these apps are setup with Managed Hosting, right?!
    same with the examples
    Andrea Bertoldo
    @Etchelon
    @MaxMommersteeg not sure why but now things started working... there was a long moment when the RuntimeManager had to download some stuff (I presume) and then all Managed apps started working...
    Max
    @MaxMommersteeg
    Yep! Runtime will be downloaded first run. Second run should be significantly faster.
    Andrea Bertoldo
    @Etchelon
    I probably had a problem with the connection when I tried to run the apps earlier, because it was stuck for like 2 minutes and I thought it simply wasn't working
    Max
    @MaxMommersteeg
    Made some small changes. The chat client and server now use .net core 3
    A nice test is to start one server using the script and run the client script twice. You should see messages from one client arriving in the other.
    Andrea Bertoldo
    @Etchelon
    yeah! I'm also planning to use .NET Core 3 which has SignalR baked in, glad to hear it's working
    Andrea Bertoldo
    @Etchelon
    @pauldotknopf what's the most recent version of the QML imports that we can use with QML Net? 2.13 isn't available, and I can't find anywhere in the docs which version is supported
    Andrea Bertoldo
    @Etchelon

    should be 2.12 :)
    Andrea Bertoldo
    @Etchelon
    sorry for spamming but I have another question: how do you expose enums to QML? Like for Q_ENUMS from C++?
    Andrea Bertoldo
    @Etchelon

    I'm trying to use Net.toVariantList(myController.myList) in QML components but there's an error saying Net doesn't have that function. I see it in the source code though:
    @pauldotknopf what am I missing?

    actually my backend colleagues, I hate it personally :) I'll tell them to check out your tool, maybe it'll be of use for us

    Hi everybody. I want to write a small contact manager tool to get started with qml.net. Any advice where to find a tutorial or examples?
    Benjamin Quinn
    @Blquinn
    @Etchelon RE. QML Versions, I believe the hosted version uses qt 5.12 LTS, so I figure out which versions were available by referencing the qt 5.12 docs https://doc.qt.io/qt-5.12/index.html
    Benjamin Quinn
    @Blquinn
    Specifically, if you go to https://doc.qt.io/qt-5.12/qtmodules.html you can click on the module that you need and the examples will show the latest version available in 5.12. For example Qt Controls latest is 2.12.

    Hello, I was wondering if it's possible to access qt classes through this library. I'm working on a project that manipulates images and it needs to happen in memory in the dotnet code. Ideally, I would be able to just convert a dotnet Bitmap into a QImage, or something like that.

    Hello, I have some question about usage of qml.net. Is there anyone to ask it?
    Allan Leal
    @allanleal
    The instructions here on how to install QML Live does not seem complete. Can anyone tell me how/where I download it? There seems to be different sorts of QML live projects out there. Not sure which one to use.
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    I haven't tried it, but that's a separate thing from QML.Net

    Sorry, I thought this was a general QML chat room. Is there one?

    hi, I am curious about qmlnet. I do see in the code refers to qt libraries. However, after I compile my project that use qmlnet, it can run without qt5quick.dll or qt5core.dll at all. How did you do that?

    Hi, if you guys are using CoreRT, with or without QmlNet, please fill this survey dotnet/runtime#40430, they are trying to gather feedback to understand why people want native AOT compilation, the more data the better :D, if you don't know what CoreRT is: https://github.com/dotnet/corert/ it's a native AOT compiler for C#, compiles your C# code to native code, just like C++/Rust/Go/Swift/D
