hi @maqboolkhan I have updated the framework .
I have changed the way of defining a new service provider class. Now you don't have to install @positron/support as your dependency.
Please install latest version of quorra before trying these, Thanks

Jul 07 2016 09:38
It's okay.. Initially I have to provide extensive support until we have good Quorra community
Then only Quorra community will grow
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 09:39

Jul 07 2016 11:05
@harishanchu have u removed app.url.asset function ?
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 11:18
I haven't implemented url.asset method
I will implement it soon
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 14:46
ohhhhh
kindly tell me how to access app.url ?
should i use config.get('app.url')
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 14:59
yes
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 15:39
is there no any other way?
i mean why we need user to specify url why not auto detect?
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 15:50
url generator is a app level service
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 15:50
yes
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 15:50
url service instance is is not specific to any requests
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 15:50
yes
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 15:50
hence it won't be able to know the host address
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 15:51
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 15:51
There for we need to supply
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 15:51
means there is no other way to except i have to access it from config
?
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 15:54
if you have request object access you can get host data from it: https://quorrajs.org/docs/v1/more/request.html#reqhost
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 15:54
ok got it
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 15:54
ie, can be accessed from routes, middleares, filters etc
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 15:55
m waiting of ur implementation of asset func
:)
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 15:55
Its nothing but same as the url.to method
url.to method accepts extra parameters but url.asset do not
I have implemented it, will push during next publish
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 15:57
ok ok )
m extensively working on Vawy
do u think its worth working?
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 15:59
If developing it helps you in some way then its worth working :smile:
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 15:59
yup it will help me
but it will help quorra?
what do u think?
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 16:02
what functionalities do you intend to provide through your module?
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 16:03
as i mentioned it before availability of helpers function in views :)
@harishanchu my english so bad if u found me harsh kindly pardon me
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 16:04
:smile:
helper functions are useful
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 16:04
just like laravel do
ohhhh
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 16:05
but there are several ways you can achieve it.
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 16:05
yes
how
i am binding with res.locals
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 16:06
as I said before you can just map required methods to res.locals from your global.js file
you can do this based on conidtions
or based on filter execution
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 16:06
ohhhhhhhhhh
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 16:06
like that you can control when to expose what
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 16:07
u mean my approach is to make available all helper func is not right?
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 16:07
There is no right and wrong.. all these are possible
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 16:08
hahaha actually @harishanchu as u r creator of quorra
i want to know what do u think
which kind of packages quorra should have
:)
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 16:11
it depends on the person who uses it. Some people might be reluctant to install a package to just expose few existing service methods to req.locals object. but some people will also think it as handy
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 16:12
hahaha means i keep working on Vawy :)
actually m porting my project on Quorra thats why m do it
:)
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 16:12
Porting what project?
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 16:13
my laravel project
:D
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 16:13
I do not suggest using Quorra in a production environment as of yet
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 16:13
yes yes
m not doing it right
my focusing on Vawy
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 16:14
as you can see we are not yet 1.0.0
maq
@maqboolkhan
Jul 07 2016 16:14
in sha ALlah soon
but suggest me one think
should i wait for alpha version
or keep my project on laravel
till quorra become mature
?
Harish
@harishanchu
Jul 07 2016 16:33
yes
