How about resizable accordions instead of tabs, like codepen? On the desktop, they be like the right-hand side stacked editors. On mobile, they pull over the content like a drawer covering the entire screen, open one pane at a time?

What does everyone think about having the left sidebar as the main nav (instead of on top), and a right side bar for page content nav (instead of on the left)? On mobile, it would either still be a top collapsible and hidden content nav... or a left and right drawer menu.

if we go fixed left nav, I'd like it to be easily collapsible

lodash/underscore/backbone docs (far left) or original Ractive (centered left)?

I was thinking something like a mobile hamburger slide out that automatically slides out at say 1023 for the local nav and 1200 for the main nav

well, it helps to pull before you push
when github finishes invalidating, it will be there
I think it's basically what @MartinKolarik suggested

I'm either on a 4k or a phone most of the time, so some sanity checking in the mid range would be good

heh
4k only works for me at > 3ft on the screen
if only desktop OSes could dpi scale as well as mobile

Looks great!
few points i noticed
Some transition/animation when changing the steps
helps notice when changes are sutble
Move the step header to the top of window
if possible
because i clicked on Step 2 > Start and the text of the whole step was half way out of sight
I still liked the previous design xD
