PSA: Ractive needs docs help in the API sections, particularly examples for the methods and properties. If you think you can provide a better example, don't hesistate to open a PR at https://github.com/ractivejs/ractivejs.github.io. :)

Anyone have the site working on Windows 10? Following the instructions here: https://github.com/ractivejs/ractivejs.github.io, doesn't work out of the box. After searching around for the relevant Python scripts I have the site running locally now, but editing the source does not reflect the changes in the browser for some reason. In the shell I can see the site rebuild though. Guess it's rebuilding the site from a cache somewhere. Dunno.
Actually I'm trying to make changes inside the playground folder, which doesn't reflect. Other folders seem to work eg. api/xxx.md

ok, seems playground is a separate project, not part of docs.

I work on Win 10, but I don't use the full setup since I just write docs there using VS Code. :D
Playground lives in a separate repo, and is just copied over to the docs for use.
The idea is that you won't need a full setup to update the docs content. All you need is git and an editor with markdown support.

This way, we can easily switch site generators, keeps the barrier of entry low, no build and deps problems.

Nods, but to make visual changes one needs the site up and running correct?

Yep, but that's a dev/UI dev problem, people with knowledge to go around installing and debugging stuff. Build deps, setups, software shouldn't be a writer's or proof-readers problem. :D

mkdocs tends to spaz out when you change stuff in the playground folder, and I've found that you have to restart it when messing with the playground
I'll update the playground readme with build and run instructions

To be specific, editing the file Sheet.ractive.html didn't have any effect. Then I realized the Sheet.js is what is rendered. However Sheet.js contains a precompiled template, so not possible to edit. Shouldn't Sheet.js pull the template from heet.ractive.html? eg. import template from "heet.ractive.html ", or something similar?

There's a build step that compiles the component
