what should we use for indentation in the examples? 2 spaces? 4 spaces? TABs?
playground clearly canalises to TABs

I would vote for 4 spaces, as many languages (Python and Livescript are the first ones I can call) recommends

Markdown uses spaces to indent (code blocks, lists) so I go with spaces. I usually indent using 2 spaces for code examples because I can fit more stuff per line without the horizontal scroll kicking in.

Yeah
My default is 2 spaces
The current 😉 ractive style guide for code is 1 tab

It's 1 tab, but config'ed to look like 2 spaces wide (on compatible editors/editors with .editorconfig support).

I've gotten grumpier about excessive whitespace at the beginning of lines as I've gotten older
2 is just irritating
