What's a good way to test npm module publishing (in org in particular) for testing purposes?
I read that NPM has this 24h delete policy where after 24h, one cannot delete the module.
Wouldn't like to have test packages floating around the internets and become depended by some rando module. :D

I don't know if any way to mock publish, unless you count publishing to a non-standard repo
fiddling with npm publish always makes me nervous, so it would be super fly if there was a way to set an env var and have it go to a temporary npm repo that they cleaned out nightly or something

A non-standard, local-only repo that I can test publishing... Hmm... Maybe something like that exists. :grin:

Apparently the common solution is to npm pack and test with the resulting tarball
