@carlbarrdahl Have you considered transforming the data slightly before compiling? It seems easier if the structure you were working with were normalized to what you want to do.
Something like:
const tree =
  Branch(
    R.add,
    Leaf(5),
    Branch(
      R.multiply,
      Leaf(7),
      Leaf(9)
    )
  );

@CrossEye over here you mentioned the idea of a roadmap, given ES6 was deferred to 2.0 while now we're at 0.22.1... this makes me wonder, where is this roadmap and how can we get there faster? :D
