It seems to be popular. I've been in the meteor and angular gitter chat rooms for awhile now, the core devs like to dwell there. more modern than IRC, which I may stop using if this is here :D

I was on another chat and didn't see you, but at least the history shows me you were here. I'm going to get rid of references to IRC and just point here though. I think this will work much better

sounds good, i'm going to close LimeChat, which is my IRC client of choice, but I'd rather not use IRC, haha. welcome to the 21st century now!

I actually see people in both for the meteor IRC and gitter... i have a 5-monitor setup and i barely have enough room, haha, i don't know how they do it

I tried to hang in the Meteor IRC yesterday, but it was, um, just too much

the cool thing about this is that you will get the repo activity too. i wonder if it's possible to attach both core and the container repos to this chat

I just committed branches that have nemo64-bootstrap, it mostly works, there's a couple UI glitches I have to repair, and the worst part is that package(s) less files don't recompile even when the app LESS is recompiled.
I attached reaction-core and reaction to this thread
I'll add others as needed - we have all of them on our internal slack chat, and it gets a bit busy
I'd appreciate any feedback / ideas on the LESS problem - I'm thinking that I might have to make a custom LESS module still...

yea, so hopefully dandv's suggestions ripple through atmosphere and official packages get maintained; issue is companies like twitter probably won't maintain a meteor thing, since they don't use meteor
i'm still very new to css/less, haha. on iOS it's much different, much much less messy than js ;)

they've had a few rejections... I'd rather see the discussion to use bower and official js packaging come to fruition

oh that's interesting, using bower. there are some libraries i wanted to use from NPM on the client side but basically just downloaded into the lib folder
it was quite a change moving from the grunt/npm/bower/node ecosystem into meteor, so much magic that when things break, it's like shattering a plate into tiny pieces
Aaron Judd

yeah, NPM alone isn't really the right system for meteor, but we should have NPM + Bower (server and client).

oh btw i updated the dashboard drawer close button to use fa instead of glyphicon; not even sure why i used glyphicon... i was probably just thinking bootstrap reactioncommerce/reaction-core#47
Aaron Judd
@aaronjudd
Dec 05 2014 19:30
we include both, but I try to only use FA
but because other packages use glyphicons, I guess that will always need to be there. however, they break just about as often as the meteor bootstrap implementations

yea, i'll stick with fa
