I am looking for eCommerce frameworks which has product customisation feature
Where user can come .. build / customize product and buy
Does reaction commerce provide this feature ?
@aaronjudd I have same discussion with Sara in email. She redirect me for this chat room..

she mentioned it to me. I built something exactly like this previously (and in Javascript) - for a company that is now no longer around, but for on demand custom products like t-shirt, mugs, etc. so pretty familiar with the requirements. We’ve not built this, and it’s really not on our roadmap, but it’d be an interesting package to build for Reaction. If you or anyone in the community wants to take something like that on, I’d be happy to lend advise, technical support.
if you find any projects, open source or otherwise, that do have the functionality and you’re curious about what it would take to integrate, let me know and I can take a look and let you know what I think the effort would be
in the meantime, anyone else in the room have ideas on this?

not the easiest place to start ;-) but not unreasonable either. I think I’d suggest that by learning how to create a meteor package, perhaps using reaction-core for the product schema, and see how far you get just creating the designer template(s). there’s going to be a bit of learning curve, but once you have something prototyped, integration in reaction will be the easy part

Tuesday is our absolute deadline. Perhaps before then.
I’m really trying to get everything converted to ES6, and cleaned up by then - there’s now just a few files left, improved checkout and order workflows (stability, and tests). Then we’re good.
the coffeescript -> to ES5 auto conversion stuff left a lot to be desired in code legibility - and stripped a lot of comments out, etc… major files are all done (in pre-beta-refactor branches)

oh excellent, I followed that issue 31. That might not be an issue with Meteor though (as it can handle the dynamic portion)
