:bulb: Idea for the "color swatches"
I think this kind of design can solve it

Been playing with hooks.js and I have a decent workaround that allows you to stop executing the queue of methods, but I can’t get it to play nice with audit-argument-checks
Without audit-argument-checks it works great and doesn’t call up the queue, but if checks is enabled it throws a Did not check() all arguments during call to ‘orders/inventoryAdjust’ even if I never call it
Running into the same issue if I try to mutate any of the args from a before hook as well

Try Match.OptionalOrNull(String), or just do a console.log(args) (I think that might work) to see how many arguments are checked, then dummy them up with passing checks ;-)

I did that
even Match.Any
but still fails :/
And it never actually makes it into the method that it’s complaining about

hmm. there must be some magical combination there that will work, but it would probably have to be all the methods (and is it perhaps the origination method that failing? maybe it’s adding an object or some other weirdness)

yeah, perhaps. Also haven’t bin/reset lately, so should probably try that lol

I do a reset about 15 times a day (which is way more painful now with 1.2)
solves a lot of things though ;-)

agreed, the Linking takes for ever, but usually worth it

@kefirchik I like those stats, but that’s not right image is it? lol

@aaronjudd yes it is not the exact picture :worried: but it easily combines progress (colored), numbers, text and have space to put image or color swatch

@aaronjudd is there a chance to make radial progress bar by default? Or better to hook up package?

@kefirchik that's something to suggest to @mikemurray - he's the UI boss man, lol. (clearly things are getting upgraded from my limited UI skills lately)
we've had some discussion about cool loaders though. I'm a fan of the medium/material design loader that goes on the top of the page, rather than the spinner we currently have
we use the utilities:spinner package now, and I think it supports some other formats, that I think you should be able to configure from app level. If you find something that's really cool - let us know!
that was just one of those things I threw in on day one, and haven't had a chance to update to something cooler - hey - it works.

we also have D3 installed, although not using it at the moment (because we're not focusing on the graphs at the moment) - but with that you could do full SVG stuff.. make something unique and cool

The test package reactioncommerce:reaction-helloworld when installed on the new version of reaction (0.9.0), it does not appear on the dashboard anymore. I have the same problem with my own reaction packages. Does the package's register.js have to be configured differently? I could not find any documentation on it. Please help.

@levu48 updated the reaction-helloworld example. It should now show up in the dashboard; though you may have to do a meteor reset to see it.

@mikemurray Thanks Mike, it works. But after I did a "meteor remove reactioncommerce:reaction-helloworld", helloworld is STILL appeared in the dashboard. Notice that I had the helloworld packages in the /packages directory. Is it a bug?

Hi everyone,

I am new to Reaction Commerce. I have worked in e-commerce for quite some time in UI/UX/Front end and little bit of back end too. I primarily work on JS and Node, so I think I should be able to pick up Meteor in no time. I have some of my designs for mobile app/website for ecommerce, which I want to apply over Reaction. I played around a bit with UI in the browser by making it mobile size view port, and it seems to work on standard 12 column grid system/ 960 grid system, which is awesome. Now I want to apply some of my designs over it, but I couldn't find the starting point. For example, if I am on product page, I want to change the HTML and CSS, but where do I do it?

Please help me out. Thanks.

Hi @anmolonruby, templates are in reaction-core/client/templates/products
also you need to put "reactio-core" inside packages folder in "reaction"
I've just checked out with commands:
git clone git@github.com:reactioncommerce/reaction.git
cd reaction
git submodule add -f git@github.com:reactioncommerce/reaction-core.git packages/reaction-core
git submodule init && git submodule update

Quick question: I'm having some trouble after resetting the data. (The data I have is old and my guess is that it may have contributed to other issues.) I run a meteor reset, redo my settings json file by copying dev.settings.json, and run it with meteor --settings accordingly. When I run a db.users.find() in meteor mongo, I still only get an admin user with no password and with some obscure localhost email address that I can't login with.
Are there known issues with this? Or did I reset the data incorrectly?
