@spencern intercom.io works great for that, and is what we’re going to be using as well. It’d be a really easy package to make for Reaction as well…

the permissions were working quite well when originally completed, but might have degraded a bit. Create an issue though if there are some weirdness - we’re getting ready to do a bug/uix only sprint to close all “bugs”, and smooth out some of the UIX - so now would be a perfect time if it’s not working as expected.

it’s really all about the roles - so most likely any weirdness is caused by some incorrect role assignments (in the code/permission checks, not the user info)…

Also, intercom.io looks like mixpanel + zendesk - while that looks valuable, what we are looking for is more event notifications for our employees.

well you can do all that.. for instance, we’re going to be using it to see who has setup beta shops, and when the trial period is over, we’ll be monitoring (and able to communicate with the user)…
it’s really a chat app, with lots of tracking of the users across apps…
however… a simple chat / notifications functionality would also be pretty easy to write I think - and something we’ve been discussing for a while, but not really speced out yet

Yeah, we don’t really even need the chat portion (as we use zopim/zendesk for that currently), just a some type of notifications and notification log for our various depts. Will probably end up speccing something out for it.

I already clean my cart, but the 'ACK Failure: Payment has already been made for this InvoiceID.' still appear whenever i am using the paypal option, anyone know why

@alexcywu it’s a known issue, we’re working on the Paypal package and will have an update soon. Might be the same as reactioncommerce/reaction-paypal#16, which should be resolved in development

ah.. actually the one he’s reporting is the one I was suggesting happens when the order save fails.. that is the one I think is fixed in development

Yeah, there are fixes already in development for Paypal that should probably take care of that. (fingers crossed)
If you have a chance if you can try again with development and see if that takes care of it. If not, ping me back and we can dig in more. I’d like to take care of any bugs in Paypal while we have the hood up.
I think we are in similar TZ’s so I’ll be around for a while

hi, suddenly part of my product catalog disapeared !
I checked the DB and the product and hashtags seems to be OK with all data needed.

  • there is no problem to enter new products
  • I tried to restart the server - still missing products

update -- --------------------------------------
I think there is critical bug
the shop shows only 10 products !
when the elenth product is added one other product disappear

is there a something I didn't understood ?

@tsfir if you switch to development branch, you’ll need to pull down packages from the repos. there's a helper script bin/clone-packages.sh that can do it for you.

thanks, it solved the product catalog problem.
what do you think about the platform preformances - its seems to be pretty slow for the first page to be load, do you also think so ?
for now counting 10 seconds - i don't know if its the hardware (1 vCPU, 3.75 GB memory on google cloud), image serving, the meteor, reaction implementation ... or else ?

@tsfir fwiw. Yes, I would agree, that’s an extraordinarily long time to render the page. Almost all the time is waiting for the first byte to appear, so something weird is going on.
