i can see the admin login and left side menu displayes order and account, create content and shipping setting section
i just restarted the reaction and got below error
Using settings file at settings/dev.settings.json
Setting up plugin imports...
Failed to reset plugins file at /NodeApp/NODE/node/NodeCommerse/reaction/client
/plugins.js

Not sure why that would happen unless you have a strange file permission issue. Either way, you can safely remove that file. It’ll be regenerated on next start.
rm ./client/plugins.js
(or however you prefer to delete files)

Can product variants be nested?
Owen Hoskins
@owenhoskins
Aug 27 2016 12:45
@zenweasel: Re the product subscription $regex (two weeks later, sorry!), my test case was with two top level products that shared a word in their handles: e.g. a "sofa" and a "two-seat-sofa"
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Aug 27 2016 12:46
Yeah, I tried that same test (basically)
Owen Hoskins
@owenhoskins
Aug 27 2016 12:47
But with a parent product and a variant right?
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Aug 27 2016 12:47
No
with two separate products
Owen Hoskins
@owenhoskins
Aug 27 2016 12:48
ah I misunderstood "I get 2 products (the top level and the variant) for both “chair” and “red chair""
from the return of the publish function or within the publish function?
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Aug 27 2016 12:50
from the return
Owen Hoskins
@owenhoskins
Aug 27 2016 12:50
Ah thats the difference then. Within the publish function it selects everything with chair.
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Aug 27 2016 12:50
the regex itself returned two, but actual published result was just the one
Owen Hoskins
@owenhoskins
Aug 27 2016 12:50
and depending on the order of the array, you may or may not get what you expect
with this line products[0]._id;

@zenweasel
Aug 27 2016 12:52
what code were we talking about?
I remember the discussion but not exactly where that’s happening
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Aug 27 2016 12:54
ah, I see what you are saying

Got another one from way back in July, we were discussing the beesknees example hitting blank pages, and you had a pull request regarding this https://github.com/reactioncommerce/reaction/blob/master/client/modules/router/main.js#L124. Did it get merged?
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Aug 27 2016 12:58
No, we decided that was not a good approach
Owen Hoskins
@owenhoskins
Aug 27 2016 12:58
Ok, was it resolved in another way?
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Aug 27 2016 12:58
In the example now I am changing the layout for all the layout records
Owen Hoskins
@owenhoskins
Aug 27 2016 12:58
I am still using that code
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Aug 27 2016 12:58
and there’s also a Meteor method that will do it
Owen Hoskins
@owenhoskins
Aug 27 2016 12:59
Ok I'll check it out
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Aug 27 2016 12:59
that repo was deprecated in favor of the reaction-example-plugin repo
basically the same code just updated to the current version
Owen Hoskins
@owenhoskins
Aug 27 2016 13:01
Great thanks.
And one about future moves: I'd like to try out react-mounter over blaze-layout for specific routes (my front-end is all in React) and blaze for the dashboard or other reaction routes. I haven't tried it yet, but curious if that sounds conceivable and curious about future plans on that topic.

I would need to defer to @mikemurray on that. I know the plans is to migrate to react, but I don’t know the specifics

I pulled code and restarted reaction
then it came up

@swamykumarv You can comment out this line (which I’ll fix in the next release), reset the database, and then restart. Just note that removing that means you have to use reaction-cli to run the app. The regular meteor command will not load all of the plugins on its own.
# comment that line, then
reaction reset -n
reaction

And no, this error has nothing to do with your problem and doesn’t break anything
I20160827-19:25:19.131(5.5)? { [Error: Cannot find module '../build/Release/bson
'] code: 'MODULE_NOT_FOUND’ }
