Just wait, the application should start shortly
On first start it may take a while because it’s downloading dependencies
if it takes a really long time (> 20 minutes) you may want to cancel and restart
every once in a while on first start it will hang
Especially if you are not in North America

It's taking that long on my Windows installation. Feel like I might need to look at one of those dependencies...

without resetting it spat out a bunch of lines about errors ending with "=> Your application has errors. Waiting for file change."

sounds like something has been changed or corrupted?
that usually only happens when there is a serious syntax error somewhere

@zenweasel ReactionProduct.get("productId"); 😂
Simple, but I found it. This helped: https://gist.github.com/DorkForce/34eb9a1ebf14cc5b0ba7

lol, not mine, but it helped me find the way to get the productId in the sea of objects and values available. It ended up just being ReactionProduct.get("productId"); 😅
you can save that as a snippet in Chrome Dev Tools and use it to search objects for values

Hello @zenweasel, If I am contributing, do I get to add my schemas to lib/collections/schema ?
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Dec 15 2016 22:22
If it’s a customization that’s appropriate for the main product, yes

Dec 15 2016 22:23
So if I create plugin, can I plugin it into another plugin in core without making any other changes?
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Dec 15 2016 22:23
not sure what you mean there

During your last meetup, your CTO said core directory is not for edition
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Dec 15 2016 22:25
sorry, still got getting you. What do you mean by “not for edition”?
Kolawole Michael Alade
@michael-alade
Dec 15 2016 22:26
It means we can't edit the codes in imports/plugins/core
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Dec 15 2016 22:27
in imports/plugins/core or /import/plugins/included. You can add custom plugins to custom
Kolawole Michael Alade
@michael-alade
Dec 15 2016 22:28
Yea I can create my plugins in imports/plugins/custom, but can I plug the plugin in another plugin?
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Dec 15 2016 22:29
I’m still not getting what you mean. Are you saying you want to add your plugin to something like default-theme or product-variant?
Kolawole Michael Alade
@michael-alade
Dec 15 2016 22:29
Yea.
Is that acceptable?
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Dec 15 2016 22:30
No, you cannot do that. You can override their behavior though
or you could replace that plugin with yours
we don’t have the ability to enable/disable plugins yet but that’s coming

@michael-alade
Dec 15 2016 22:31
Ok then.
Thanks.
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
Dec 15 2016 22:31
For now you could just delete the plugin
