Hey @zenweasel, just to close the loop: those changes that you described did the trick! Thanks again

Great. Glad to hear it.
I’m working on a PR to change it in the core

hello, starting to go thru the docs / db / model structure. looks like the variant model has an option, how are multiple options handled? ie: shirt size and color?

Hey @samhstein, each variant can have an unlimited amount of options. For example, if i use “Colors” as a top level variant, i can make Sizes as a second level variant / option: http://i.ato.la/skitch/T-Shirt_1E4D02CA.png

@kieckhafer, not getting it... still don't see how each variant will have inventory / how the size, color combo make a single sku, variant that has price, inventory

each variant and option is a separate document in the Products collection, related to it’s parent product via the ancestors object. Each has it’s own quantity and price attached, and you can see that in the side panel when you are in admin mode: http://i.ato.la/skitch/T-Shirt_1E4D133B.png
The image here I am currently editing the “Small” size, which has it’s own Name (Option), Label, Quantity and Price, as well as the ability for it to have it’s own images

Inventory is stored per sku (product id)
