Congratulations to the team for the awesome work!
@vigyano YOu should not have a file called "reaction.json" under "settings"
Instead you can have a "settings.json" there.

there is no reaction.json in my settings folder. The same docker image was working on first install and once I restart reaction, all these issues pops up

rebuilding new docker and getting deployed. In previous build the domain had "localhost" which didn't match the domain as pointed by @spencern . Hopefully this time it works.

I'm using Product.insert() on the client side to create variants on demand but it's getting denied without any errors. Is there a way maybe the server can create the variants for the user even though they just have a guest session?

not sure what you mean
Guests are allowed to create products?

Product variants as we have thousands of possible variants

what’s the error you are getting?

Mar 21 2017 02:39
It's okay if we have to hack the system a little to do it, just need to know where
That's the thing there is no error. I need to get in there with the debugger but it seems to just skip over Products.insert()

You would probably just want to write a server method if you want bypass the permissions check
I don’t really understand why it would “skip” Product.insert
In your plugin you can write Meteor methods to do whatever you want. And then you can write client-side stubs to call those methods

So for Guest user is has the newly created product variant in ReactionProduct.variants() but in meteor mongo it's not there in theDB.

@ivanthemeh - re: removing shop name from handle - I thought that was something that was built in now - @zenweasel might be able to point you towards the best way to do this.

How we did it was to edit client/modules/router/main.js and remove the shop name prefix on line 179

The schema allows for it, but I don’t think you can through the admin

what's the prefered waht to show all the user's selected variants in checkout?

Loop through ReactionProduct.variants() pciking out what you want that way or how do people do it?

Are product variants designed to be added together so that multiple variants for one product can be chosen or does the last selected variant is the only one?
See I need to save all of the option the user chooses here:
But right now when checking out RC is only taking the last selected variant with it. Is that by design or is my customization causing this?

it’s expected that you are choosing one Product/Variant/Option combination to add to the cart

it's not good approach, getting help from community and suddenly go away
even without old unmaintained code bases

Here is our official statement:
"We have found a lack of developer interest in contributing and evolving Launchdock, and have made it private. We've also felt that our company investment to enable retailers to easily deploy, scale, and run their stores would be best accomplished through a commercial offering. We are excited and happy to now introduce a managed PaaS offering that goes well beyond Launchdock and represents the very best of ease of deployment, scalability, reliability, and support that modern, growing retailers need."
there was never a single PR or issue opened by the community

Thanks @zenweasel. We're going to require those to be each options building our product selection. How'd you go about tweaking RC to do this if you were doing it? Maybe add a variants/selections object to the product ?

Mar 21 2017 12:44
that’s a good question. Is it always parent product + a number of options?
My first thought would be to create a new product type, aka rather than simple
You could also just modify the cart
I think it is already product plus an array of variants
the thing is currently we create relationships bottom up - that is, variants are related to products not the other way around

Alright, yeah I think we'll just provide the product ID and then pick the items from it. Thanks @zenweasel
