Having a problem setting up shipping. My goal is to set up one shipping rate following the advice on this ebay site: http://www.ebay.com/gds/The-best-guide-on-estimating-shipping-on-ebay-/10000000018299222/g.html. We are testing Reaction to sell tshirts and since tshirts are 13 oz or less, we will be mailing them in First Class. I attempted to input the estimates and I get the above error. See screenshots.

@paperbaker How long have you been working with Reaction? I started a couple weeks ago. I have been waiting for the 1.0 since I first learned about the project and am excited that you have a similar problem. I was worried I was alone!

https://docs.reactioncommerce.com/reaction-docs/master/shipping This is the guide which doesn't give any formatting insights into the "Provider ID" names. The relevant section appears to be: "...You’ll be prompted to fill out the following:

Method Name: Edit the name of your method.
Cost: The cost, as a shop owner, to ship this item.
Public Label: How your rate name appears to your customers.
Handling: Any handling fees you might want to include.
Rate: The actual price you’re charging your customer."

I created a Shippo account and added the API and that overcame that error, but now I have a new error. Whether I am signed in as a guest or not, when I put in my address for the shipping, it won't save because "[The data you sent was not accepted as valid]"

@biblelogosthegame I just tested this and was able to add flat rates. Have you done anything with the included Shipping.json?

Hi, new to RC, just wonder if there is any plan to use Angular/React than Blaze later?

@davidxiao the plan is to convert all Blaze templates into React

no @zenweasel, nothing at all
Was I supposed to configure that? I'm going to check docs

when enabled, I see this:

@zenweasel I have attached my shipping.json; should I modify this file rather than use the shipping configuration tab. I assumed that this file was edited by the fields in the admin panel of Reaction. Also, I have successfully set up the test api for Shippo, now my issue is that I'm getting an error: "[The data you sent was not accepted as valid]"

@zenweasel Also, I used the exact values in the settings.json file since I assumed that those default values would be recognized as valid "Provider ID" but that didn't work for me. Since I overcame this roadblock in my demo test of Reaction 1.0 by adding the Shippo Test API, I am still wondering why this isn't working, but I am also now dealing with the fact that when I am in the checkout for a product, I can't complete the process because it won't save because of my aforementioned "The Data...not valid"

Is it something related to permission or missing configuration?

Never seen that before, but it looks like a network issue.
Meteor is failing to pull all of the packages from Atmosphere

^^ specifically, a network issue connecting to Atmosphere

Can you ping that IP?
It works fine for me.
$ ping 151.139.105.15

Jeremy Shimko
@jshimko
Apr 03 2017 19:08
Well, that’ll do it. Your network path to the package servers appears to be blocked
so definitely not a software issue
but I’m not sure what else to recommend other than trying from a different network
Priyank
@Priyank30
Apr 03 2017 19:10
Oh!! My mistake to send pings, I used port after IP as my image. I get reply from this IP

That seems fine. And it’s faster than mine.
--- 151.139.105.15 ping statistics ---
13 packets transmitted, 13 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 246.460/263.426/332.243/26.790 ms
so I’m not sure what the issue is. can you try starting the app again?
how many times did you try?

that’s a very local issue then. You should at least see it hit the router you’re connected to

the next is my cable company’s first switch in my local area

@mikeumus We’ve got a few things going on with our product page, what you’re looking at where they select multiple options is a “bundled products” package that we wrote that allowed us to create products that were collections of other products.
It’s unfortunately not very modular because we tied in to the cart and checkout page too directly to get it working faster
and GetOutfitted is still on 0.17.x
Hopefully that points you in the right direction
Michael Duane Mooring
@mikeumus
Apr 03 2017 23:01
Yeah we're editing the cart directly as well. Thanks for the input @spencern
