Hi everyone, I just built reaction commerce with the following command docker service create --with-registry-auth --replicas 1 --network swarm_net --name my-store -e ROOT_URL="http://www.example.com/store” -e REACTION_EMAIL=“email@example.com” -e REACTION_USER="admin" -e REACTION_AUTH=“adminpassword” reactioncommerce/reaction:latest. Reaction seems to be running and logs do not show much but all I am getting in the browser is "Unknown path"
Does anyone know what "unknown path" might mean? Reaction is sitting behind an nginx proxy, which takes requests on port 80 and forwards them to reaction container on port 3000.

@janus-reith Glad I'm not the only one!
Does anybody in the dev team could tell us more about that message?

Been trying to extend the ProductVariant schema for a few days but I'm now getting this error on productGrid.js. Any thoughts? productGrid.js is unaltered. Do I need to make changes in order for it to work with the new fields, even though it doesn't use them?
The attributes I'm trying to add are only displayed on the Product Detail page

By the way, the Product Detail page is working perfectly when I type the URL manually. There's only one product in the store, so there's no confusion possible

No, there’s no need to change the product grid just because you have extended the schema

Awesome thanks!
So is there something obvious I'm missing?
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
May 05 2017 09:16
I think I have seen that error when it can’t find the children for a product. Do you have all the variants/options published?
Loan Laux
@loanlaux
May 05 2017 09:17
Bear with me, I'm making sure they are
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
May 05 2017 09:17
I only ask because it’s a mistake I make all the time
because it’s looping over the products, and obviously a product always has an _id
Loan Laux
@loanlaux
May 05 2017 09:18
Of course
So I checked everything and it's all published
Also tried to access the product page in a private browsing window, everything shows up
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
May 05 2017 09:19
then I don’t know. Have to just dig into why you are getting an empty product there
I wonder if products there is an empty array for you
Loan Laux
@loanlaux
May 05 2017 09:21
I'll try to console.log it
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
May 05 2017 09:21
yeah, that’s what I would have to do
Loan Laux
@loanlaux
May 05 2017 09:24
Hmm that's strange... I'm getting this bug only when logged in

yh, I usually think that’s related to revisions, because an admin can see both published and unpublished stuff
so it’s possible to get something half-baked that a normal user might not
Loan Laux
@loanlaux
May 05 2017 09:26
Don't mind the product count displaying 3, it's quick and dirty stuff that even counts variants and archived stuff (mostly a placeholder until I code it more seriously)
Okay, so I'll still try to console.log the products array

So here's what I have so far... I must admit it doesn't help me understand :/
Screen Shot 2017-05-05 at 11.42.10.png
I can confirm the product and its variant are there in the first place
Loan Laux
@loanlaux
May 05 2017 09:46
Interesting thing: none of those console logs are displayed on the private browsing session (that still shows the product grid)
Screen Shot 2017-05-05 at 11.49.12.png
On the first iteration of _.filter, I can still find traces of both objects. After that, nothing

It's driving me crazy. I'll take a lunch break and get back to it in an hour. Would be grateful if anybody could provide help on that one... I have a feeling it's something very basic that I'm totally missing

What would this mean:

Error: spawn ENOMEM

While trying to build to docker? It seems through google searches that this occurs at various occasions, usually when meteor needs to load a lot to memory. But Im running a plain vanilla reaction from 1.3.0. Anyone?

Common issue, looks like you'll have to create a swap file (or enlarge your existing one)

Screen Shot 2017-05-05 at 13.27.46.png
Fixed my issue by simply adding two more checks before referring to product._id
Would it be useful to make it a PR? @zenweasel
Screen Shot 2017-05-05 at 13.29.59.png
As you can see, product grid is now working as potentially malformed product objects are ignored (and as we saw, it's safe to say they would not be displayed anyway)
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
May 05 2017 11:48
yh, that works as a workaround, but I would like to know how you are getting bad objects in there
Loan Laux
@loanlaux
May 05 2017 11:49
That's the part I'm still doubtful about. It's pretty suspicious and I don't have any explanation other than that I'm trying to extend the ProductVariant schema
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
May 05 2017 11:49
also curious why you would need a check for product._id
Loan Laux
@loanlaux
May 05 2017 11:49
You're right, it's not needed

this product grid is probably going to get converted to React in the next week or so
Loan Laux
@loanlaux
May 05 2017 11:53
To React components?

That means no payment process (standard for B-to-B sales), lots of customization... Heck, even a Sage integration
Lots of work

@loanlaux what do I need to change in Dockerfile to create a swap file? Its the basic one from git.
Jeremy Shimko
@jshimko
May 05 2017 15:48
but you also don’t configure swap inside a container. You do that on the host you’re running the container on.
aviadbd
@aviadbd
May 05 2017 15:55
Ok... But I want the host to be configured automatically via docker, don't I?
aviadbd
@aviadbd
May 05 2017 16:07

Actually, shouldn't

docker build --memory-swap -1 -t target .

should do it?

Quick user question: Any way to disable account creation?
