@rijz did you check your windows explorer to see if the reaction directory shows up?
if it’s not there, try running reaction init again.

when you run reaction init you shouldn’t need to run meteor npm install it does it for you
Although it doesn’t hurt anything

am newbie. i get this error
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
May 07 2017 11:39
by default reaction init tries to clone into a directory called reaction. If it already exists you can’t do that
you need to specify a new destination directory like reaction init reaction-fresh

@michael-alade i ran npm install and show error. if it because of the path?
@zenweasel is it clear now?
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
May 07 2017 11:47
yes, as I mentioned, you are getting the error because the reaction directory already exists
you should not be installing it into your system32 directory either
You need to create something in a user space, not reserved system
rijz
@rijz
May 07 2017 11:49
@zenweasel oho ok. but i just initiated buy changing the path to system32
image.png
should i kill the process
?
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
May 07 2017 11:50
yeah, you definitely do not want to install it into system32
rijz
@rijz
May 07 2017 11:50
ok
Brent Hoover
@zenweasel
May 07 2017 11:50
that's reserved for Windows system files only
Okay, you need to move out of the WINDOWS/system32 directory
nothing will work until you do that
rijz
@rijz
May 07 2017 11:52

Brent Hoover
