What do you think of using block storage for database and using RoboMongo for database management? https://robomongo.org

@zenweasel - there is a height restriction in MediaGallery component <div className="featuredImage" style={{ height: containerWidth + "px" }}>. We want to remove the height constraint, what is the best approach to remove that?

Is Revision Control mandatory? Why does my 'Publish' icon disappear when I switch off 'revision control'?

Revision control is what allows changes to not be published until you Publish them. So if you turn it off, all changes are published automatically and there is no need to Publish anything.

@juandanceswild Thanks for the clarification. All changes are done on the fly then, as there are no 'Save' button too. Dangerous

Right, it’s like live edit, from what I understand

thanks!
@jshimko I am new to the framework... quick question. I noticed the initial loading takes a while. Is it because of the framework

In their case, I think they’re loading a lot of images all at once. Not sure where in the world you are, but they’re also in Greece (I’m in the US), so that could account for part of it too.
Reaction is definitely a big app, but theirs is quite a bit slower than typical (probably for a variety of reasons).

@jshimko I am in US too. I am trying to build a ecommerce site like zulily.com, and I don't really want users to wait for a couple of seconds before they can see anything
Maybe a traditional PHP based platform like magento is faster I guess?

a lot of effort goes into making Reaction faster all the time, but you should definitely not assume all Reaction shops would be as slow as that one. I think they’re just not being as selective as they could with the data they load on initial landing.
And I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say something positive about Magento either. Especially if you want to do any customization.

@jshimko thanks! Just trying to explore different options for my new site... Do you know if there's a list of sites that uses Reaction Commerce, that I can play with & compare

Hi I am trying to add a react component called productFilter into my customProductGrid I created but I can't seem to get it to display. What would be the proper way of displaying a react component in a blaze template? https://github.com/curranabell/materialTheme
I tried this but no luck
