where can I find an example of a completely reworked, all react component-based plugin? everything I've looked at so far still contains Blaze template wrappers

@ConnectBelal_twitter After theming and tweaking your local reaction then reaction build mycustom you should now have a "mycustom" docker image built locally on your machine docker images|grep mysustom, now run it locally docker run -d -P mycustom, to get this on another server you'll need to get that image there. The easiest way is to use a regsitry docker tag myscustom dockerhubuser:mycustom and push it up docker push dockerhubuser:mycustom, then on your other server docker pull dockerhubuser:mycustom and finally docker run -d -p 80:3000 assuming port 80 is open and you are not using a proxy

Can anyone tell me how to make sure I'm muted in this new Zoom app on Android?
I'm referring to the Reaction meeting that is happening right now

@zenweasel Experienced the same thing. I had to go to zoom.us, click "Join a meeting" and enter the meeting ID that's in the URL: 327468176

yep shoot for the moon! I'm thinking you should charge $3500/month for a premium version (or more)
Josh Cox
@joshuacox
Aug 29 2017 15:54
really there needs to be a sliding scale, with the very top end including multi data center redundancy with load redirection based upon geoIP, I would think it could be something like $3500/month per data center, with perhaps an option to burst into an elastic pool of worker nodes at further rates, with a further charge for overall data accumulation. This is assuming the client is the next amazon with open market place etc.

lol @joshuacox I think developing a site using Reaction Commerce is expensive enough :P
Loan Laux
@loanlaux
Aug 29 2017 16:29
@remixrob It surely depends on what exactly is the target client. $3500/mo for reliable, fast and up-to-date cloud hosting could be perfectly fine for muti-(m|b)illion dollar businesses or VC-funded startups. I mean, you're choosing Reaction to get the latest technologies and thus a snappy user experience, resulting in more conversions, which means more profits. But what's all that without the adequate hosting solution? If a business spends six figures or more to get a custom-tailored Reaction shop online, chances are they will consider hosting it on a platform that's made just for it

@remixrob
Aug 29 2017 16:30
yes, very true
Loan Laux
@loanlaux
Aug 29 2017 16:30
But I feel you, it's very expensive for small businesses. I just don't think they're the target here
remixrob
@remixrob
Aug 29 2017 16:30
I don't believe Reaction Commerce it has to be expensive for small businesses
Loan Laux
@loanlaux
Aug 29 2017 16:37
@remixrob Well, the project in itself is open-source and anyone can set-up an instance on their own servers. But because it uses technologies that are new and pretty advanced, developers will (rightfully so) charge considerable rates to develop a custom shop. I think the situation for small businesses will definitely evolve once we'll see the first premium template shops dedicated to Reaction Commerce. Then, small business owners will be able to pay a lot less for someone to set-up a shop for them — even though they'll be aware that their design is used on other websites.
Have a look at other markets (Magento, WooCommerce and PrestaShop just to name a few). Very very few small businesses hire agencies or freelancers to get a custom design (even if labor cost is a lot cheaper in the PHP world). They usually just go with paid themes

Aug 29 2017 16:43
@loanlaux a new platform and especially new technologies should encourage learning and discovery for the developer, but not at the client's expense. I'm certainly not interested in using templates unless they are completely customizable. I believe there's a healthy middle ground between expensive and reasonable that has yet to be achieved with Reaction Commerce. ;)

I think adjusting reaction commerce is much cheaper and faster than in Magento ...
remixrob
@remixrob
Aug 29 2017 16:48
@ereyes97 it should be but I have yet to see that as a reality as far as cost but I would love to use Reaction over a older technology or platform such as Magento which I despise as a CMS.

Hi all, starting up reaction takes lot of time. Is that normal or any fix for this is available?
Loan Laux

Totally normal @vip20, apparently it downloads a whole bunch of stuff on the first launch
Just wait for a few minutes. Next startups will be a lot faster

@vip20 try changing your REACTION_LOG_LEVEL to debug in your dev.settings.json file and see if you can determine what is taking so long
Loan Laux
@loanlaux
Aug 29 2017 17:09
@vip20 Honestly, I don't know. It's true that startups and even some refreshes are always pretty slow. No idea of a general tip you can use to make it faster. Maybe someone from the Reaction dev team can answer?

After it displays started proxy it takes time and after a minute or two it displays started mongodb and a minute later it shows the log
Patrick Tavares
@patrick-tavares
Aug 29 2017 17:31
Not sure what to say there. A normal startup for me takes right at one minute (this includes start the proxy, mongo, and node/meteor instances)
perhaps a full 'reaction reset' would help if you don't mind trashing all your current data
Vinay

@remixrob also, this is Reaction Commerce themselves, they should have the highest price, which gives cushy profit margins to us the developers of solutions for said customers, I'd be willing to bet that marketplace might even be a pre-emptive strike on a reseller program allowing others to partake in the profits

Hi there, just wanted to point out the link to the stripe documentation on this page: https://docs.reactioncommerce.com/reaction-docs/development/payment pointing to -> https://github.com/reactioncommerce/reaction-stripe is 404
is there another place to find the reaction-stripe repo?
