"Could not resolve hostname github.com", that's pretty strange. Can you manually pull the repo and see what happens?
Luke Carelsen

What I am seeing from your logs looks like it can't reach GitHub somehow... which is strange
Patrick Newell

Jan 17 10:35
I started using Docker, but it completely consumed my mac. While I don't recommend it (because of the headaches), you can run Reaction's three services outside of docker
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Jan 17 10:35
And you've confirmed that you can clone from GitHub on your host machine
Luke Carelsen
@bantingGamer
Jan 17 10:36
yea the clone was successful
Patrick Newell

Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Jan 17 10:38
Oh yeah, do a docker exec
Patrick Newell
@pnewell4_twitter
Jan 17 10:38
don't sweat it Luke. There is a definitely learning curve, but it's a great platform once you've got it up and running
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Jan 17 10:38
+1
I never remember how to use docker exec so look up the logs for details
Luke Carelsen
@bantingGamer
Jan 17 10:38
i figure i would reation running and then figure out how docker works
"docker exec" requires at least 2 arguments.
Patrick Newell
@pnewell4_twitter
Jan 17 11:01
docker exec -it <container name> <command>

so try something like this to be sure the container can connect to the internet:

docker exec -it <container name> ping github.com -c 10

(not sure whether you will see the results, so you may have to run the docker logs command in a separate terminal tab beforehand)
